There's four Welsh lads that have played regularly for Stoke U23's this season, on top of their seven first teamers. Dan Malone (18) - 14 games, 1 assist Christian Norton (19) - 13 games, 5 goals Tom Sparrow (17) - 11 games, 1 goal, 2 assists Ed Jones (19) - 9 games, 2 assists There's also Henry Nash who's a regular in their U18's as well, and I think has made the bench for their U23's this season. Norton's two most recent goals for the U23's came in a 3-1 win against Wolves. Goals are here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6VeDgmHARc1.37 2.04 Apologies for the music Stoke have put with the highlights, not the best footage either.

Wasn’t he at Southampton at one time?

Wasn’t he at Southampton at one time? Yep, and had a very good scoring record. Surprising he was let go by them, good signing for stoke though

Made his league debut tonight and got called up to the U21 squad, not a bad day at the office for the lad.

Is he a number 9 or a wide/utility forward?

Good and positive comments about him on the Stoke forum......wonder if he'll overtake Matondo in the young and Welsh Stoke pecking order.......

It certainly is interesting that he is being picked more regularly than Matondo at the moment. Can certainly see him stepping up to our seniors - he may well make his senior debut for us before Jephcott if he continues to get Championship game time

Hopefully he can plug that striker gap that we might have in a couple of years. I’m unsure of what Rabbi’s next move will be. I guess he may get a chance in the 2.Bundesliga, although Schalke may want to cut their losses. Not too sure there’ll be many suitors willing to stump up for him. The mixture of sitting on the bench and the disciplinary issue aren’t a good mix.

With the way football is financially at the moment in Covid at the level that Matondo would be going to, I can't really see a side that would be interested in Matondo being able to pay anywhere near what Schalke did. You'd be looking at a side around Championship level buying him, but I can't see any of those sides spending any money bar the clubs with parachute payments, and those spending money would be looking to spend it on players who they are going to be a lot more certain on then Rabbi.

Important to remember that Rabbi is only 20 and has shown enough promise for both Manchester City and Schalke to sign him. I think we need to be a bit more patient with a lot of our players, they're nowhere near their peak and already performing well for us

Seems to have gone under the radar that Norton has gone on loan to Cheltenham in League One. Will keep an eye out to see if he gets good game time

I could swear Stoke fans were highly rating him last season.

Released by Cheltenham - disappointing to hear this given he was on the fringe of the Stoke first team only a few seasons ago

22 year old striker without a professional goal to his name in 15 starts and 40 appearances from the bench, I love a good comeback story and this would be right up there with the best!

Remember fairly recently he was regularly getting minutes for Stoke, a shame to see how quickly he's dropped down. Hopefully he can make a name for himself in the Cymru Premier
