Noticed he's 20 years old, has he featured for Tottenham seniors at all? Probably for the best moving if not.
(I've never heard of him though)

Described in the spurs academy many moons ago, as a 'midfield destroyer' Remember when Patrick Vieira was so distraught that Man City lost Huws that he turned to drink? Yeah, I never believe anything that comes out of the mouths of people running academies. I suspect a lot of it is all just horse trading nonsense trying to make their assets more desirable to others. Best to just leave it to the player to show what he can do when he gets on the pitch in the senior team.

Huws has been unfortunate tbf, continued the long Welsh tradition of being made of glass I don’t think it was misfortune that lead him to sign for Wigan. How can such a highly rated player by word of mouth end up playing for Wigan? He was talked up like he was our Foden. Injuries obviously didn’t help but the fact he “fell from grace” so dramatically in his first transfer maybe suggests that he perhaps wasn’t at the level everyone said he was back then. It’s a cautionary tale to go with Woodburn and countless others over the years not to really buy into the hype until they have established themselves.

Is Eliott Thorpe still at Spurs? Seen him linked with Cardiff on a free

Rumours that’s he’s off to either Bristol or Cardiff City. Be quite something to have him Colwill and Bowen all playing together at club level.

Seeing this thread pop up made me check if Huws was still without a club. Only 27, fit (last I heard) but still without a club and it’s now looking very bleak for his career. A very cautionary tale of how things can change almost on a six pence for some of these academy kids 😕

Shame, that those transfer rumours of a move to Hoffenheim never played out.

No disrespect to Luton, but to be linked with a mid/lower level Bundesliga side to a struggling Championship side is a little underwhelming.

Close to what he knows and where he lives, it's literally up the road from Spurs training ground. Must be thick though, Luton are hardly known for youth pathways.

I haven't seen any graduates in the side this season? I can't see him playing ahead of Lansbury, Berry or Rea.
If he has turned down Bristol and Cardiff I'd suggest it's a really poor choice in relation to the level of the youth league, the clear pathway and facilities. Both under 23 sides are unbeaten this year with lads making the step up.

He won't be signing as a youth player though, but as a first team player. The reason he turned down a contract with Spurs was because he wanted first team experience. I imagine he's asking for assurances that he'll play before he signs anywhere.

If he has turned down Bristol and Cardiff I'd suggest it's a really poor choice in relation to the level of the youth league, the clear pathway and facilities. Both under 23 sides are unbeaten this year with lads making the step up. That's the point. Because of us losing our rights to holding onto our own youth prospects when we were in Non-League & the lower leagues, we lost almost anyone decent before they reached 16. James Justin being the exception where he he was probably able to stay because at one stage he had Jay DaSilva, Max Aarons, Jamal Lewis all ahead of him. There were others like Cauley Woodrow, Tyreeq Bakinson, Lewis Baker, Akin Famewo & Arthur Read who would all be breaking through as squad players for us if they hadn't left before 18 (& 16 in most cases). That leaves a gapping hole between 16-21 in our development. Elliot is obviously part of that, Nathan Jones also hates loaning players in with a passion (I THINK we may be the only side in the Championship, without parachute payments, that has no loanees) and we are definitely 1 CM player light, especially given Lansbury's injury record. I would hope that, at worst, Thorpe would get at least 500 minutes this season.

Started in the FA Cup for Luton in central midfield against Cambridge on the weekend.
In line to feature more for them hopefully given recent reports. Another to keep an eye on.

Just been recalled from Burton. Unfortunately it's because, unlike Terry Taylor, he wasn't playing. I don't think stylistically he fits Dino Maamria who came in as Burton manager about 2 weeks after he signed.
Problem was we played him in the 1st round of the league cup, so he can't go on loan to anyone else.
