Hi,
Me and a couple of the boys are travelling to Prague/Tallinn&Helsinki
I’m just looking to see if anyone has any info on the Covid passport and passenger locator forms.
I already have my Covid digital passport, but do I potentially need a letter as well, as I’ve seen some people mention it elsewhere?
Also, I know I need passenger locator forms for Prague+Tallinn+Helsinki, but do I need to do one for Riga (stopping here for 2h30) and also Oslo as I will be stopping at the airport through here only for 3h30 but they are self transfers, so technically leaving the airport?
Many thanks

Many thanks My understanding is that, if you are purely using the airport for transition i.e. not leaving the terminal, you don't require PLF's for those destinations. By leaving the Airport, i suspect you would require PLF (but may be wrong) In terms of the COVID passport, when i recently to Tenerife, the requirement was to have the QR code (I printed it as a paper copy, as i'm not sure what the process woudl have been if my battery had died). I don;t think you require any letter, i think that was an if not pasport, get letter.

If you live in england you can get the letter sent to you. Just go on gov.uk website. For wales i believe you need to phone up.
It takes ~2 weeks. Maybe less.

I live in Wales and am only going to Tallinn, but didn't know anything about needing a letter to travel? Bit concerning that you're mentioning 2 weeks. I've just got the Covid Pass with me, I assumed that'd be enough when travelling from Wales? As well as a booked PCR test?

You don’t need a letter for all destinations, check the government travel advice for each country. I need one for Latvia and it takes 5 days to come not 2 weeks. Due to arrive tomorrow or Saturday.

Oh grand, thank you. It looks like only the digital version is required in Estonia but I'll request a letter to be on the safe side. Edit: Scratch that, I can't do it through the NHS site but need to ring and it's 10 days. Guess it's a good thing I'm not going anywhere via Latvia! Straight to Tallinn and back and it appears Tallinn accept the digital proof.

I’m not sure about any other countries but if anyone is unsure just check here for the relevant country: www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/czech-republic

I think a while ago it said on Czech republic info that they wont be accepting digital passport and only the letter will do. I've just looked on Uk Gov website and it seems the wording is amended now.

What letter is required in addition to the Covid Pass?
Is the printed copy of the NHS Covid Pass-Vaccinated document not acceptable for people living Wales? If yes, this can be immediately emailed to yourself and printed out or if using a computer can be download in pdf version for printing. Follow the NHS website link i.e. via the web not an app, and the printed copy is immediately available for people living in Wales
How to access the NHS COVID Pass in Wales
You can access the NHS COVID Pass via the NHS website (nhs.uk). This will allow you to produce a COVID pass using a smart phone, a computer or laptop.
To access the service, you’ll need to register for an NHS login. You will need to upload a photo of your ID (passport, full UK driving licence, full European driving licence).
If you live in Wales, you cannot get it via the NHS app as this is only valid in England. If you do not have photographic ID you will need to request a paper NHS COVID certificate. Your NHS COVID Pass includes a barcode. The expiry date refers to the barcode and will update automatically. It does not apply to your vaccination status.
Using the NHS COVID Pass for international travel
The NHS COVID Pass allows you to show others, when travelling abroad, that you’ve had a COVID-19 vaccine.
In addition to your NHS COVID Pass, you will need to follow other rules when travelling, such as pre-departure testing. Check entry requirements such as COVID-19 tests and isolation for countries that you intend to visit (on GOV.UK).
You should check that the name on your passport matches what it is on the NHS COVID Pass. You need to do this at least 2 weeks before you travel. If the names are different, contact your GP practice to have your details updated. Make sure you familiarise yourself with the rules for foreign travel to and from Wales.
In some countries you do not need to show your NHS COVID Pass. You may need to either quarantine or provide tests to meet country entry requirements.
If you download and print a copy of the NHS COVID Pass, the expiry date will not update and you will need to print a new copy when it has expired.

From what i can see; Estonia - Just a NHS print out of double vaccination. No passenger locator form to do. Latvia - NHS print out of double vaccination. Passenger locator form 48 -24 hours before entry. If landing in England - NHS print out of double vaccination form. Passenger locator form 48-24 hours before entry. THEN within 2 days of landing, take a PCR test and post back (order before you go).
I think thats it ( I am only travelling to tallinn direct from Stansted., then bus to Riga, then flight back to Stanstead.

Right I am proper confused now. What is the difference between a PDF print out of NHS Covid pass and a Covid letter? I am travelling via Latvia on the Saturday - I suspect this is a moot point now, as too late to receive said letter now, just thought i'd find out what the crack is.

Not sure about only a QR code - I guess they can scan it, but I didn’t notice them routinely scanning this morning. I used a photo of the paper version at check in at stansted, but they are only really checking you’ve got one. In short not sure.

Is this what you used? If so, how much did you pay? For anyone else that's left it to the last minute, here's the one from the gov.uk page iseteenindus.terviseamet.ee/

There is nothing to pay, apologies if I posted the wrong link. Yes the link you have from the gov.uk website is the right one. It’s all pretty straight forward.
