Barmy, I know the football hasn't been great but he's done a sterling job on what appears to be a low budget (correct me if I'm wrong). Brian Flynn kept us afloat in League One for years despite us having next to no cash, looking to mount a play-off challenge now and again. He never would have survived the age of the internet and it looks as though the pressure's become too much for Mike.
This could end very badly if they don't get the right man in.

That would be a hell of a step up for him though. Are there any good examples of a L2 manager going straight to the Championship?

It had become almost like a toxic relationship by the end. Something had happened behind the scenes, no doubt about that.
He was making 5 or 6 changes to the team every single game, whether we had won or not. Had a squad of about 30 players. The statements about limited budgets are only a half truth, the board seriously backed him last season and this.
New guy is also Welsh, James Rowberry, and we have played some lovely stuff since he took over - admittedly only 2 games in.

Nowt to do with Mike Flynn but IMHO Walsall's red, white and green home kit is one of the best going and of course the colours would do for us.
