Aaron Wildig? What about that Quigley who scored in the FA cup? And the guy who started at Newport - double barrel name, think he went to Wolves around same time as Aaron Collins? Wildig is ineligible despite being capped 3 times by Wales U16s Quigley I'm not sure, but doubt it and he's not really ever in the frame for a call up so doesn't really matter Not sure on the double barrel? Amadi-Holloway?

I tell you what, I'm gutted Jarrod Bowen isn't eligible for us. He played up front today in the EFL Cup vs Spurs and he scored a fantastic goal. Such a difficult first touch to take, then the second to spin away from the defender, and a perfect composed finish with the third! He'd be such a handy number 9 in our system I think, almost the perfect player for us. A cruel twist of fate that he wasn't born a miles further west www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdIXxvgQrX4&ab_channel=SkySportsFootball

That being said I was surprised that was only his 5th goal of the season. I had it in mind that he was more of a goalscorer for West Ham than that

I'm sure some people were adamant a few years ago that James Wilson from Man Utd was eligible. He wasn't, and is now playing for Port Vale. Maybe they were confused with defender James Wilson, who I'm surprised hasn't had more caps for us tbh. If I remember correctly I think it was someone who knew James Wilson/family who posted on here he was eligible for Wales. Yeah that was me. I coached with his brother when I was coaching in England, won't say the club as it will probably let people know who I am. But yeah when he was coming through at Man United we were talking about him and he said his grandmother is from Rhyl and is eligible. Can't see any reason he would have said it if it wasn't the case.

With Twitter giving people instant access to players it might be worth asking him. If I'm wrong I'll hold my hands up for it and leading people on. I would but I'm not on Twitter.

I would think someone involved with football would know the ins and outs of eligibility, but saying that I do think English fans care a lot less than us. Based on what his brother said though I am still convinced of it. I could be right or wrong in that but his brother is a really good guy so I trust him. As you are a moderator I would be happy to send across screenshots for you to confirm there's at least something to it. I don't know how to attach pictures on here though.

I feel we'd know about it if he was eligible

He started the season slowly in the first 5 league games, but since then he's had 3 goals and 7 assists in 11 games in the league, so he's defo involved

I love the effort put into this thread despite it often being nothing but bad news! Hahah thanks! It's mostly cos some people would come on here and ask about players like Jarrod Bowen time and time again, so instead of repeating the narrative they can just be pointed here

Anyone looked into Alfie Jones at Hull city? 25yo central defender / defensive midfielder with plenty of championship experience. Born in Bristol

Or Sam Hughes at Burton Albion - another 25 yo defender. Born in West Kirby and came through Chester's academy then a few years at Leicester.

Charlie Hughes at Wigan. Centre half played a few times. Think dragonsoccer said not likely but not completely unconfirmed either.
