Hang on, bit late here, but if the ticket funds (partly or full) don't go the Ukrainian appeal, how are they raising money?? My reading is the money that will go to the appeal is from any additional fan donation made on ticket purchase, a bucket collection and the ‘mens team’ donation. Not from the ticket price. I’d be delighted to be shown this is wrong.

I don't know what the costs are obviously, nor am I defending the FAW, just offering a potential explanation. My concern about ticket prices has been noted here and in previous threads and with Mooney at the helm (and a decent side) I worry they will continue to skyrocket and we'll be back playing in sub-15k crowds before long when the opposition is unexciting or our form dips, especially with the tendency to have games at odd times. I hope the semi / final ticket prices are not the new prices for the nations league games. I suspect they will be but I'm hoping they'll do a tournament ticket covering the games with a 20% discount

Does anyone know why half the Canton seems to be greyed out from sale and other random sections of the stadium? Is it just me? They're not sold out but were never available for sale.

No. Its not just you. Half the Canton and 40% of the Ninian/Grandstand not on sale yet. FAW probably anticipating 10k-12k crowd on a Tuesday?

That's fine as well, I just think it would have looked better on FAW's behalf if they donated some of the ticket funds, especially when a lot have donated money elsewhere. (For example I've already donated £20 through my kids' school)

Just got mine for the Canton. Not many sold and it doesn't feel great paying 30 quid for a non-descript friendly, tbh.

Whilst I have paid for semi and final tickets, will regretfully be giving this a miss mainly due to cost of fuel, other rising prices and expected non competitive fixture with lots of changes etc.
And as many have said cost of tickets being the same as play off games is just not justified.

Could this be Bale's last game if we lose on Thursday?

It’s not the same price as the play off games, but is overpriced.

Could this be Bale's last game if we lose on Thursday? Not sure about Bale, but if we lose against Austria this game will be our last chance to see Ramsey.....pull out of a squad due to injury.

Hennessey (Davies at half time) Thomas Mepham Rodon Cabango Williams Ampadu (captain) Levitt Wilson Johnson Harris Nooooo!!!!! You have to play the percentages. Hennessey last 10 mins. No Rodon, Ampadu, Neco or Wilson. They might get injured. I know these guys will play for their clubs but we have to play our part. I wouldn’t even start Mepham or Brennan.

Hennessey (Davies at half time) Thomas Mepham Rodon Cabango Williams Ampadu (captain) Levitt Wilson Johnson Harris Agree with most of that, although we'll likely stick with the same system to embed it further and give Wilson more gametime in that midfield role he's likely to play in the final. Also think we may go for RND at LCB as that brings better balance and he may be the deputy for Davies in future. And Matondo is a better prospect than Harris and has played that role for Cercle Bruges. So for me, I'd go for: Hennessey (Davies at half time) Thomas Mepham Rodon RND Williams (Cabango at half time with RND moving to LWB) Ampadu Levitt Wilson (Colwill on after 60) Johnson Matondo

Hennessey (Davies at half time) Thomas Mepham Rodon Cabango Williams Ampadu (captain) Levitt Wilson Johnson Harris Surely Hennessey as captain on the big night. I think Morrell will 100% be starting instead of maybe Ampadu. Maybe Gunter instead of Rodon. I like the look of a few of the youngsters getting a chance, buy there's a lot of old heads in the team that Page is loyal to.

Hennessey (subbed off sometime during the play to a standing ovation for Davies)
Sorba Gunts Cabango RND Joniesta
Neco (first half if fit subbed off for Morrell) Levitt Colwill
Rabbi Brenin
Would be nice to get everyone up to in game speed with the formation. I’d also like to see Neco in central midfield again, as looked excellent against France before the ref ruined it.

Seriously this is Cabango and Colwill territory Friendly against a decent team. Don't think we should completely waste it by just putting out numbers and squad players need some 'first teamers' for structure. Fulham are up so they can rest Wilson and Williams:) Rodon needs game time. Ampadu and Levitt has to be looked at. Ampadu as captain as another step in his development. Colwill for Harris maybe.

Hennessey (Davies at half time)
Thomas Mepham (needs game time) Rodon (needs game time) Cabango RND (then Neco to go at a tired Czech side)
Ampadu Levitt
Wilson
Johnson (maybe Matondo at the same time as Neco?) Harris / Colwill (a half each)

Some random ones, not going to do a team yet.
I'd love to see Neco in the Gareth Bale role just to see what will happen.
I think maybe put a strong team out to see if we can keep our unbeaten record at home going.

Think we should stick with the same formation for continuity:
Hennessey
Roberts - Mepham - Rodon - RND - Thomas
Ampadu - Levitt
Neco - Johnson - Wilson
Let Neco have some fun in a more forward role.

Cabango is an accident waiting to happen right now and although this is only a friendly, no, I want us to continue an unbeaten streak and play the right players regardless. We can experiment with a few but they still have to be in form.

But that wasn't the formation, it was a 532 ha. We only had Bale and James up top, albeit with Wilson and Ramsey pressing high at times too. I'm probably being pedantic (!), but I think it's an important point that for the last 5 games we've been playing a 532 and it's brought us great success, so I completely agree we should stick with it for this friendly for continuity and to test fringe players in the system. Like the idea of testing Neco in midfield again, but we need another split forward for the system and I think we should give Wilson as much gametime in midfield as possible to help him learn the position. So Matondo in and Neco/Levitt to drop out for me.

We can experiment with a few but they still have to be in form. I'd like to see Cabango getting an opportunity, but on balance it's more important to help Rodon and Mepham build their match fitness and get them back in the minds of their club bosses. Also I don't think Cabango at LCB gives us good balance. I was impressed with RND there against Mexico, so it makes more sense to test that again.

Disappointing if so. I'm far from a Morrell basher, but we wouldn't learn anything from starting him in this game. Far better to give Levitt a shot, or trail Neco in midfield
