Brennan making his case to start games to avoid late finish dramas. Quality finish. He is the future.

This game proved that Ramsey should have had 45 mins out in Poland. Too rusty against Ukraine but positive tonight. Hindsight really because I wanted to cotton wool him against Poland as well.

Nope. What an assist! His deliveries have been superb as well I'm not sure he meant that though lol. He meant it:

Brennan changed the game for us. Superb. Is there a case for him to be the super sub? Looks lightning when he comes on, less impact when he starts.

Ramsey never plays the simple ball. It can be annoying. 9/10 he slows play down or messes up an attack, the 1/10 is a potential goal. I guess that's what flair players do though.

We more than deserved a point today, and we deserve more than 1 point from the first 3 games. We're competing in these games despite the obvious clinical/quality gap to the top teams
A point was vital tonight because Poland have drawn. That means as it stands we just need to beat Poland at home to get 3rd. A point against the Dutch would be fantastic as well - but I feel they will go strong against us again so it will be tough

I watched that ramsey pass on rewind about ten times and it seems he looked and saw the player running in and played it,jesus christ fair play, when ramsey employs his skills in the right place right time there is simply no-one better, just like the galatasary shot is the best strike of the ball i've ever seen,he is in and out and frustrating but sometimes he is just poetry.

I think the Netherlands were slightly exposed tonight by Poland. For me, it shows they are more vulnerable than we think they are. Coupled with our result tonight, we should go into that game relatively confident and aim for at least a point. If we can come up with a strategy to try and get that all-important win, even better.

I don’t subscribe to the ‘beat Poland at home & we’ll stay up’ theory, I think we’ll need more than that as the Poles could easily get something against Belgium at home, to probably cancel out our point tonight. Conceding that late goal against the Dutch is going to be so costly for us.

Conceding that late goal against the Dutch is going to be so costly for us. I agree. On paper, tonight was a "must win" given the late goal on Wednesday but a point is better than nothing. We surely have to try to get something out of the game on Tuesday to have a chance of staying in League A. No pressure 😅

I wonder how these games would have gone if we had not had the Ukraine match thrown in as a distraction?
A full team against Poland may have conjured a win & we might have got something against the Dutch.

DJ, Connor, Rodon & Davies have all had a lot of minutes Bale & Ramsey have had a lot of minutes considering their inactivity Morrell, Moore, Allen all now out with injury. It'll have to be a monumental last push to get anything out of the Dutch game now. Very tricky one to figure out how to start. I'd probs go for something like this... Hennessey Mepham-Rodon-Davies Burns-Ampadu-Ramsey-Neco Bale-Brennan I think it's worth just starting quite strong and hoping we can last the 90. Guess we can use the bench as required also

I know, I had a shock when I found out about this fifth game on Tuesday 😳😆 On a serious note, it's too much and is bound to adversely impact smaller teams in particular who have less quality reserves to call up on. The potential for injury is also huge.

Just got in from DJing and finally seen the goal, wow, Ramsey! That is absolutely brilliant and what I also love is Burns, a player playing in League One, wheeling away in mad delight. This group of players are made of something else, can you imagine England, Germany, Italy, France, Spain etc. holding Belgium with players from the second and third tier on the pitch for them? What a week for Welsh football, I'm so proud I could cry!

Thoughts.
Ampadu needs to start in midfield. Good in the back 3 but don't see any significant fall off when Mepham plays there.
Brennan superb again but as others have mentioned. Very effective as a replacement against tiring defences when games are opening up.
Thought Ramsey's main issue was fitness and it is a factor. He's definitely benefitted from game time. However his confidence levels also seem to be increasing. His stats from last night are pretty impressive. I'm hoping that he's now made himself a more attractive prospect for him to get a short term deal or more with a Newcastle or an Everton etc.
Hennessey is playing as well for us as I remember. Some more top saves last night and his distribution seems to have improved.
Real strength in depth emerging. Sorba Thomas might not even make squad for Qatar?

On the basis of what we have seen so far in these Nations League games, Mepham, Morrell, RND & Johnson will all be in the World Cup squad & I suspect Colwill too. When you consider that Brooks will hopefully be back, it doesn’t leave much room for anyone else, particularly if Gunter & Joniesta go from a squad togetherness point of view.

I'm interested to see if Sorba features, I would've expected to see more of him this month.
