Maybe, I just think he'll take Gunter, but after the WC we'll probably see him dropped indefinitely, barring any major injury issues. Regarding Sorba. The problem is, I don't really think he's a natural WB. For Huddersfield he tends to play more as a Wing Forward, and there's a lot of competition in our squad for forward positions. It may be worth trying him in front 3, if we play a 3-4-3 type formation. Yeah you might be right re: Gunter. One last hurrah for him (even tho he's very unlikely to make it on the pitch) Agree re: Sorba too. I don't think that's his natural/best position. It's a testament to our strength in depth that we can afford not to pick him given the season he's had I think it's worth trying him up top. He did look very good for Huddersfield in the play-off final playing wing - overshadowed Johnson performance wise.

Just because he doesn't play there still doesn't mean he can't play there and would do a job. He'd be a good impact sub in my opinion. True, but Page has favoured Burns & RND ahead of him as substitutes now. I can't see us taking 5 wing-backs to Qatar I'm not talking about Qatar, I'm talking about these Nations League games. I'm just saying that I'm surprised he hasn't featured at all yet and that I'd like to see him feature at some point tomorrow. Right now, I agree that he isn't making the squad but that's because I haven't really had the chance to see what he can do lately.

i'd take gunter and sorba - both seem like good squad players and provide some exciting options in sorba with excellent experience in gunter - he needs a club though, if he doesn't get one i doubt he'll go.

Would a L1/L2 side take him knowing he'll miss some games in November/December whilst the leagues continue? I don't think it would matter desperately but can't exactly see him having many suitors.

Yeah big chance at the moment I'd say. The following are nailed for the plane... Hennessey Ward A.Davies
Rodon Mepham B.Davies Ampadu Neco Connor RND
Allen Ramsey Morrell Wilson
Bale James Brennan Kieffer
That's 18/23 already. From there I think we need 1 more wing-back, one more CM, 2 more AM/FWs, and 1 more CB. His best chance to be included I feel is at wing-back but Burns coming on last night might suggest he is currently ahead in the pecking order. If he's included as a FW he'll be competing with Brooks, Tyler, Colwill & Jonny. I think he'll find it hard to get ahead of them Levitt? He had a great game out in Poland. You didn't watch the Holland game?

Levitt? He had a great game out in Poland. You didn't watch the Holland game? Yes he had a stinker but he’s young. But he shown what he can do at Dundee Utd and the game against Poland. I would give him another go.

True, disappointing to see - I can imagine though a lot of teams thinking we could have a world cup player here, for a lot of the boys out of contract thats a selling point. Hope he get gets to showcase himself against the Netherlands - his loyalty to us has earned him a start and that chance

It will be a negotiation. I'm pretty sure Gunter's sole focus right now is getting on that plane, so with that in mind he will be desperate to find a decent club an am sure would be happy to compromise, whether that's just goin for a three month contract initially, adding a clause in his contract to reduce his salary during the WC period should he be selected. There are ways of doing it, and I'm sure Gunter will be open to every possibility.

Why would you dismiss a young player on one bad showing, when he's been very good in the previous three or four appearances and is just on the back of a great club season, in a position where we're massively short of options?

There's been so much football played since then it's difficult to remember much at all from that match, but I remember thinking at the time that he had played very well.

Worth a punt at championship level.

I wasn't dismissing him. I was just responding to the idea that he was in good form in these NL games when his last appearance suggests otherwise. I like what he's accomplished during his loan spell in Scotland and he definitely has a big future with us potentially. That last performance with simple passes being sprayed all over the place and surrendering possession cheaply was however a step backwards.

This is exactly it. I can imagine him at Wrecsam tbh, their defense wasn't great last season - he would certainly add to that. He's comfortable in a variety of roles in a back 5 system. Bit easier to stomach losing him for Wrecsam fans if he is playing at a WC for their country

I watched that ramsey pass on rewind about ten times and it seems he looked and saw the player running in and played it,jesus christ fair play, when ramsey employs his skills in the right place right time there is simply no-one better, just like the galatasary shot is the best strike of the ball i've ever seen,he is in and out and frustrating but sometimes he is just poetry. I think I notice it more purely because in all our attacks I think we have to make the most of them which we obviously don't and waste opportunities with a final ball or shot.
