Not going to lie, after all the crap we’ve had from Scotland fans over the years (mainly stuff I read online), during the last Euro’s I didnt want them to beat England but neither did I want England win. It was like a neutral game for me.
Sad, because years ago I would have 100% wanted any of the home nations to beat England, but not so fussed anymore.
I never felt bitter when Scotland and Ireland were a bit better than us.

Me neither, to be honest I have never really cared about them, I wanted Scotland to do well at Euro 96 and World Cup 98, never cared about Ireland. I still like Northern Ireland to do well but the others I don't care about. |

I think you're all getting a wee bit carried away with any bitterness from our Celtic neighbours. There's always a few loud internet trolls and shit pundits but the vast majority will get behind us no doubt. Sure they'll have a giggle if we slip up at any point but so what?
Fact is we've never been in this position before so just enjoy the ride.

To me the other Celtic nations are our rivals. England aren't really rivals, they're the much bigger country next door that will basically always be better than us due to their much bigger population. So I compare ourselves to Scotland, ROI and NI (as well as the rest of Europe obviously). So it's nice to be winning that contest at the moment, but it won't last forever. Scotland have a decent squad and will probably qualify for at least one more Euros with it, while we face transition after Bale and Ramsey retire.
