At the risk of whingeing about first world problems, 5 rows back in the corner should not be cat B tickets I've got a cat3 for 1 game which is a better view IMO than a mate who has a cat1 for the same match. Thankfully my cat1 and 2 tickets for other games appear to be decent seats. I still get a bit angry thinking about the cat2 €300 ticket I bought for the euro 2016 semi when I ended up back row in the corner. |

Thankfully my cat1 and 2 tickets for other games appear to be decent seats. Whilst initially annoyed about paying more for some neutral games I'm attending at the WC I'm now focusing on the positive of having a better view than I will for the Wales games. In the Euros the best ticket I had was the cheapest one. At the Russia game I had a 25€ ticket bumped into loads of mates and the atmosphere was incredible even before we scored. For the NI game I was in the posh seats for over a ton and with the exception of my mate I'd say they were almost all plastic Red Wallers. My good mate had a cheap ticket and had the time of his life. Before the game we knew we had one of each and decided at random. My Slovakia and Portugal tickets were more middling as were the experiences. |

I panic bought our tickets on the general sale as I was down the FAW pecking order.
When I was able to access the FAW portal I bought a ticket for my mate via the FAW portal
I’ve just received my ticket and it says it’s a ‘Non Transferable Ticket’ - ‘Due to organisers rules you are not able to send this ticket’
He’ll be in a different part of the ground so it’s not like I can pass it back to him
Anyone else with this issue
So apart from giving him my phone any ideas?

I explained incorrectly,
My, other mate (one) bought our groups tickets on the general portal as we weren’t convinced that there weren’t going to be any left on the FAW allocation by the time it got to our FAW category.
He was successful getting all the tickets for our group of 5 travelling together.
My other mate (two) who can only go the the England game asked me if I could get him a ticket which I did using the FAW portal code as there were some left by the time I was eligible.
So this ticket has been assigned to me but as stated it’s not transferable.
My mate (one) hasn’t sent me my ticket yet so I’m hoping when I get two tickets in my wallet for the same game it’ll let me transfer my ticket to mate (two)

Also, if he's travelling alone, and only going to the England game, with a ticket thats not in his name, how is he getting in to Qatar? |

In answer to your question why didn’t I just give him a code….he’s a total technophobe and getting him to Qatar with all the apps has been an ordeal and this is just another hurdle we have to get over.
He’s meeting us in Abu Dhabi and flying in on the day
As long as we both have a ticket on our ticket / Hayya app we’ll sort it out just have to adapt our plans

I can't guarantee this will work, but try the following. Get your friend to transfer the group ticket to you. When you have two in your account, click on the new ticket just received, and then press "Change Guest". This gives you the option to Keep the Ticket for Yourself. I believe that once that is done, your other (FAW) ticket can be transferred. The issue is that, if you only have 1 ticket in your account, it cannot be transferred to anyone (only guest tickets can be transferred). I think the above might work. Hope so. |
