A bit confused about sitting with friends/family.
Up to 6 tickets per match can be purchased provided enough access codes specific to that match are used.
I'm going with my dad, he won't have a clue how to buy tickets. I'd like to be able to buy mine and his tickets together under my own FIFA account so that he doesn't have to do anything. As long as he gives me his match codes, I should be able to buy 2 tickets for each match under my account, I think? We are both in Priority Group 2.

Its clear from their WC Ticketing Portal that FIFA's preferred payment method for tickets is VISA.
Perhaps its just me, but its confusing that on one hand they state "We Accept Only VISA" and then go on to say "other selected payment cards are accepted for international fans".
Anyone got any experience of using MasterCard to purchase tickets?

There's a tweet I've just seen stating that England's allocation v us totals just 2339 tickets and ours for all our group games is likely to be the same in the 40k stadium!
Thats ridiculous
What other way is there to buy a ticket?

That was my understanding too. Makes life simpler only having to book through 1 account thankfully. I just wasn't sure if he'd also need a ticketing account but reading the FAQs on the FIFA site, I don't think so. You just have to be prepared to have your guest's name, address and passport details.

It’s VISA only for Qatar resident category 4 tickets only I believe.
Then Mastercard etc is okay for everybody else.
Remember the euros they said their preferred partner was Ali pay. I defo didn’t use that!

Does anyone think if your in Group 3 we are in with a shout? I booked everything bar match tickets so worst scenario is in another stand from our section I'm in the same situation, also several Welsh Expats here will be in Group 3-5. Difficult to know if there is any hope of getting through the main FAW allocation, and just going through the general sale. USA and IRAN would be easier, with England no chance. I will try and get what I can. Best chance of being successful lower down the pecking order is that there will plenty will be available for the Knock-outs if you are confident in getting through. I assume the majority of people will just book the groups or 2 games due to the costs and logistics/time off and close to Christmas. I know a few mates who are in group 2 but are not going, Cost/Christmas etc

As I understand it on the given day we can log on and book our tickets (say Cat. 3) and link our account to others with the hope that you all sit together. But what happens if the others in your group are in a lower priority group and the Cat. 3 tickets sell out? I presume that if you all want to sit together you all have to go for the higher priced tickets?
Has the ticket information email (with your priority group details) been sent to all? I know some that haven't received the email yet?

So if you're in group 3 and your mates are in lower groups, you won't be able to purchase tickets on their behalf (not until they're eligible anyway) as they won't have received their access codes yet.

If you have friends who are buying tickets at a different time to you, you share your group code so that they can try and sit you all together if possible.
