Where have you seen the 5th quoted? Sure it said that on FAW site and email received makes sense as that the sa,e day as those in priority 1 get codes and ability to book FAW allocation although nothing on fifa site but there wasn’t yesterday either just - to be advised message convinced there will be lots available tickets for certain games in group stages The references to 5 July on the email just covers Wales allocation? The full details part of the faw website still has the general sale starting on 28 June. I could well believe that’s a mistake though and it’s not been updated. No offence to anyone at faw. This stuff happens

What is everyone’s thoughts on the 3200 tickets Do we think it will sell out? I’m of the opinion the Iran and USA games will have tickets left over but a lot of stage 4 in our group very worried Any idea of what interest has been shown? I would be amazed if anyone in group 4 who wanted to go couldn’t get a ticket. What are you basing this on? Something I’m worried about too as I’m in stage 2 but girlfriend is in stage 4. I don’t really wanna get tickets through FIFA’s general sale, would rather be in the FAW allocation but don’t wanna risk her not getting any in stage 4

Seriously, what percentage of cat 1 members do you think will buy tickets from 2k plus?

Much bigger country (albeit they qualify regularly). My feeling is, and I could be wrong, is that England will sell out, but the others wont.

Is there any way of knowing how sales are going for non-Wales games? There are bound to be some games where sales are poor, how do we find out which ones?

I would recommend aiming for the Japan v Costa Rica game if you're looking for a guarantee into the country. As I applied via the ballot I had these as a pretty much guarantee of a ticket.

Sales seem to be on the low side across the board, depending on who you talk to. There should be a big availability of tickets to most matches if you were to get in early to the general sale. Otherwise, something like Japan vs. Costa Rica or the other similar low interest matches: Switzerland vs. Cameroon, Uruguay vs. Korea, Cameroon vs. Serbia, Korea vs. Ghana, Australia vs. Denmark etc. would all be straightforward to attain if you felt you really needed to do this. But probably not necessary as you should have the choice of most matches.

Something I really want to find out is where in the stadium the FAW allocation will actually be. If we can find this out we can get general sale tickets as close as possible to our fans. But nobody seems to know. The lack of info is driving me nuts

If someone buys a ticket in the general sale but identifies themself as a Welsh fan in the application process, will that person be located with or adjacent to the official "Welsh" section. Asking for 5 friends. 😁

FAW have advised the same. They said there’ll be an option to choose which team you support and FIFA ‘will try to ensure’ those fans are grouped together. It’s quite a lot of money to spend with no guarantee you’ll have the experience you want isn’t it? Don’t get me wrong I’m happy to be going to the WC (hopefully) but it will obviously be much more enjoyable to be sat/stood with other Welsh fans like at every other Wales match I’ve been to.

Mainly cat 3 with some options of cat 2 and 1. The cat 3 area seems to be behind the goal. I doubt very much that the 3,200 or more allocation we will get will be spread around the stadium. CCSeaman

In relation to "there’ll be an option to choose which team you support and FIFA ‘will try to ensure’ those fans are grouped together". Is that for the FAW allocation or tickets bought through the FIFA ballot (or both)? Just want to check that if a ticket is bought through FIFA that there is the possibility that you can indicate that you want to sit in some group of similar supporters.

CCSeaman Yeah I believe that’s the case too, in fact I’m almost certain of it! I’m talking about buying through general sale. What I’m saying is, they can’t guarantee those who buy through general sale will be near other Welsh fans who bought through the FAW or general sale.

What I’m saying is, they can’t guarantee those who buy through general sale will be near other Welsh fans who bought through the FAW or general sale. This was for general sale. As said above I’m pretty sure the FAW allocation will all be sat together. So I asked the FAW if they know where in the stadium the allocation will be so I can buy as close to it as possible through general sale. They replied with this: “We have not yet been informed by FIFA of the area of the stadium that we have been allocated but the majority of our Red Wall tickets will be category 3. When purchasing through the FIFA general sale, you will not be able to choose where you sit, you will only be able to choose your price category ticket. However, there will be an option for you to select which team you are supporting at the game you are purchasing tickets for and FIFA have advised that they will try and ensure that the tickets are allocated to be sat with people supporting the same team. I hope this helps.”

CCSeaman Yes, I realise that and as I'm in Category 1 that's where I'll be. The issue is that some of my mates will be trying for tickets via the FIFA general sale. The question was therefore about people who buy those general tickets but indicate (as you are able to do) that they are Welsh fans i.e. will they be put with other Welsh fans. That's what Barryscorcher is referring to in his answer above.

Sorry if this question has been asked before but is everyone in Stage 1 ( 2,100 ) guaranteed a ticket ? Yes (pretty much). Our allocation per game is minimum around 2000 tickets (but I believe we've managed to get a slightly bigger allocation now) and not everyone in Stage 1 is going to buy one

Can buy them at a nice leisurely pace in my own time .

It’s not clear, I’d have thought tickets for our games will be restricted until the fans in the priority groups get their chance to buy tickets, but I could be wrong.m

If you're in stage 2 or have people you're going with in stage 2+ I'd be tempted to go with the FIFA allocation. You're guaranteed to be with the people you're going with then. So stupid that FIFA general sale opens the same time as FAW priority ones. It's not impossible that stage 2 fans won't get tickets but general sale can. Then it might be too late then to buy general sale if you wait
