My guess is we will not take anymore than 2000 to any game. Anyone than wants a ticket should get one. That's great from a getting a hold of a ticket point of view but tragic being that we're in the WC Finals for the first time in 64 years with only 2,000 fans being present  Not a real surprise when the likes of England have struggled to sell their allocations. In another development fans face 7 years in jail if they are found having sex with anyone except their partner in Qatar. strict alcohol ban in any of the tented fan camps which are currently £350 per night per tent which sleep 2 people. |

6 of us going all Top tier. Staying Central Doha. Going to US and Iran and 5 neutral games. Yesterday was an ordeal and whole thing is a logistical nightmare and stress inducing. Hopefully it will be worth the expense, stress and administrative effort.

I'm planning staying in doha Accommodation is scarce at the moment to cover the whole group stage, but you have to literally just keep refreshing the accommodation page for your dates. This afternoon I was able to nab a room for 11 nights in the MSC World Europa cruise ship hotel at a price that won't require me to remortgage. I'm over the moon but it was pure luck that I refreshed at the time I did. |

I am in the FAW Group 2 cohort as are 3 others in the family. Always said I’d go if we qualified, but the location and sheer expense really put me off. After a bit of nagging from 1 of the kids I’ve reconsidered and have taken the plunge. Didn’t want to wait for the FAW allocation to come on stream today so I took the plunge on Tuesday during the general sale which was a good call as the FAW email hasn’t included codes for others in my network.
I’ve got tickets for the first 2 games, looking at flying out 18/19 November and returning after the Iran game. Looked at the options in Doha and that accommodation was really expensive, a cruise ship was around £300 per person per night which is crazy. I did a P&O cruise a short while ago and paid £700 for the week, that included all meals, snacks, flights to Malta and transfers in Malta. I’ve bought shuttle flights (albeit I’ve left it late and choice was restricted) from Dubai to Doha and will look at accommodation over the next few days,

Just me at the moment, got cat 3 tickets for every game up to the quarter-final (if we get there, of course!).
Not sure re: accommodation at the moment. I was thinking of booking with Wonky Sheep when their full trip went on sale and would've been happy to share with anyone as a solo supporter. I'd booked with them for the Euros before Covid hit and was going to be sharing with another Dafydd, funnily enough. But I cancelled the whole thing about a month before the tournament started because I couldn't be bothered with all the rigmarole around testing etc. In the end, I decided against booking anything for this before I secured any tickets because I wasn't sure what I'd be able to get given I wasn't in the first stage.
Been looking at the range of accommodation options on the website and the cabins in the fan village actually don't look that bad, to be honest. Especially with all sorts of people from different countries staying there, would think there would be a nice atmosphere to watch the other games on big screens and the like.
If anyone else is on their own and is thinking what to do, feel free to get in touch.

May not be exactly what you’re looking for but there’s a few of us going to every game but basing in Abu Dhabi in an All Inclusuve 5* Hotel as I’ve stayed there a few times so it’s tried and tested.
One of our gang is in a double occupancy room as the person due to share with.him backed out at the 11th hour.
He’s looking for someone to share.
The flights to Doha and back are £216 for each game but this hotels all inclusive food and drink package would more than off set the match day shuttle expenditure.
Let me know if you’re interested.

I'm looking at cabins in fan park May be silly question but in fan bars and fan parks is the alcohol From my mate that lives there : A whole country event happening in basically a city hence the accommodation problem, there’s too many bars here for the normal population but there’ll not be enough for the World Cup. They will have fan zones though and apparently the beer is cheap in them about 25QAR so around £5 per beer. Me: How much is beer? 40-50QAR outside of happy hour Some happy hours in the down town Baghdad area you’ll get beer for 25QAR in happy hour and in that area they last all night. One bar happy hour is 1700hrs to 2100hrs through the week, then Thursday it starts at 1700hrs to close on Saturday night so it’s on all weekend. But the drinks seem stronger here than anywhere else in the world even the beer. Maybe it’s the heat but I’ve been to hot places before but drinking here I get proper f**ked without even trying. Brunches are the best way £100 drink and eat what you can in 4hrs. But they’re only on Friday and Saturdays. |
