Seeing as the tickets are going on sale on Tuesday and a few of us are being twitchy (mainly me 🤣) whether tickets we be available.
I thought we could have a bit of a head count / survey to find out the following -
1 - Who’s definitely going (booked up) and know of how many others that are definitely going / booked up?
2 - Which games are you intending to going to / applying for?
3 - Are you applying for tickets and then booking or know of others who are applying for for tickets and then booking up?
4 - How do you or others intend on getting your tickets, FAW portal or FIFA free for all?
5 - Where are you staying or planing on staying?
This could reassure some or just add to the stress of the ticket allocation…this includes me 🤣
Ill kick this off seeing as I started it
1 - Just me and the wife, 100% in, booked flights, AI Accommodation and matchday shuttle flights to and from Doha 2 - All 3 group stage games and then working out what to do if we qualify for the last 16 stage as we’re booked to come back on the 2nd Dec 3 - I know of 3 others that will definitely going with us to all 3 games, depending on tickets and they’re applying on the FIFA portal 4 - FIFA free for all 5 - Abu Dhabi from the 20th November and booked to come back on 2nd Dec

Forgot to mention that if one of my lot gets tickets he’ll be in a room on his own so if there’s a solo traveller out there looking for accommodation then this may be an option.
The cost for the room would be £150 a night but it’s a high end All Inclusive Hotel in Abu Dhabi with 8 speciality restaurants including a steak restaurant, fish restaurant, Benihana’s Tepenyaki restaurant and Trader Vics all part of the AI package at no extra charge and all the booze is branded.
His only requirements are big boobs and blonde hair 😉 Shaved heads and beer bellies need not reply 🤣

1 - Me and my dad going. Flights to Dubai booked. Going out on 20th November.
2 - USA and Iran games only at moment. Not much holiday leave left!
3 - Flights and hotel already booked. Holding off on the shuttle flights until tickets secured.
4 - In stage 2 for FAW tickets. Not sure whether to apply on Tuesday in the FIFA sale or risk it and wait until Thursday for group 2? What are peoples thoughts on group 2 availability?
5 - staying in the Ramada downtown Dubai.

Got flights to Abu Dhabi and another one from AD to Oman - both with Wizz for peanuts. If Qatar will start allowing non fully vaccinated in (without five days £100/night hotel quarantine) I will be there.
Will get tickets thro until the QF.
Would much rather go on to Sri Lanka (Wizz from AD) than stay 4 weeks in UAE...

Hopefully this thread will give some sort of indication of how many fans are going and more so how many tickets will be taken up by the first level priority fans which I believe there are 2,100 in that category. If the FAW have 2,800 tickets, but I imagine they’ll take a few hundred for themselves, all the tickets could be taken by level 1 priority supporters but I can’t see that happening.
Next level there are 4,150 fans where I think the ‘bun fight’ would be over the remaining few hundred tickets left over from Level 1
Hopefully everyone who wants a ticket will get them in the FIFA ‘free for all’

So I count 2,098 of the first level priority of FAW fans taking their ticket allocation. Therefore leaving 2 seats for level 2 FAW supporters 😉
Only kidding, Out of curiosity, how popular is this forum for Welsh fans do you think? I imagine if you are a serious Wales supporter who travels with Wales you’d be all over this site. If that’s the case do you think we’d have some indication of how many tickets will go to the FAW first level supporters on Tuesday & Wednesday?

Honestly I think only about 500 tickets will go in priority group 1. Mainly because the bar was set pretty low to get into group 1 and even then, only 2000 people qualify. You only had to go to Dublin and Netherlands to get in (2 very easy/attractive/cheap trips). How many of those people will go to Qatar... we shall see.
Anyway for me it's:
2 of us going Staying in Qatar All 3 group games Priority Group 2
Going to take my chances in the FAW sale on Thursday as I want to be in the Welsh end. If I miss out then there's still 4 months to acquire tickets through the general sale and ticket resale portal, so not too concerned.

I’m feeling more relaxed now about getting tickets with the exception of the England game but I had the same issue in 2016 but still managed by hook or by crook to get 10 tickets for us all eventually

That’s what we want to hear 👍🏻 Does anyone fancy a guess how many Wales supporters will be at each game? Throw my hat in the ring - USA - 6,000 as it’s the first game and many will be happy just doing the one Iran - 5,000 as it doesn’t have the status of our first World Cup game since ‘58 England - 3,000 as the England fans always seem to get the majority of the tickets somehow

Six of us going, all stage one for all group games, staying in Dubai and all booked all inclusive and flights into Doha. Buying through the FAW, all going home after the group apart from me staying until after the 1/4 finals.👍

Not all can be sold in stage 1 as there’s more tickets than people and not everybody will want to go who is eligible. Stage 2 there will be plenty of people who just go to all the home games on membership/campaign tickets with no aways and have no intention of going. I’d say it will definitely go to stage 3 for all games.

4 of us going staying in Qatar (Wonkey Sheep 10 day trip)
Have potentially got tickets for England and Iran games Some of us in Stage 2 but trying for USA Tickets tomorrow
Various aspects of Qatar leave me uncomfortable, however this is the World Cup 50 years of watching and supporting other teams on TV, usually the ones playing England ! Had to go, so positives will be:
Mixing with fans from ALL the other teams Ability to go to other games We are in a group where we could progress, imagine that Looking forward to exploring Doha, especially the Souq, desert etc.
So proud of this team and the FAW, we represent the best of Wales now, and you never know, as Geraint Thomas said after winning the Tour "Dream Big"

1 - 2 x Stage 1 almost certainly going but haven't booked flights yet (1xS1 dithering and 1xS3 probable, all others S4 or below and unlikely)
2 - All group games, hopefully more
3 - Applying for tickets then accom/flights
4 - FAW portal
5 - Hopefully Doha but have UAE hotels reserved as backup

I'm going for the first 2 games and staying in Dubai. I'm in stage 1 for match tickets but Dubai offered more flexibility on flights/accommodation. Going on my own for the matches but my other half will be joining me in Dubai.
Others who I travel with aren't planning to go at all due to cost/leave/family commitments - I think this is likely to be a theme with a lot of fans. I wasn't 100% sure myself if I could justify the trip - but it's the World Cup! Booked my leave from work last September - even if we hadn't qualified I would have wanted to watch matches on TV. I could have stayed for all 3 group games but the idea of playing England (again) in a tournament doesn't appeal - would prefer to watch that one with friends at home.

1. Just me at the moment 2. USA game and the knock-out stages onwards 3. All booked up. Flight BHX to Dubai and then the shuttle to the game. 4. FAW. Stage 1 5. In the 'Deira' area of Dubai. Although as is it free cancellation may change closer to the time. I'm in stage 1, not going. I know a few others in the same boat. For what it's worth, I think everyone who wants a ticket will get one. That’s what we want to hear 👍🏻 Does anyone fancy a guess how many Wales supporters will be at each game? But I think it is going to be a hard one to call. Judging by posts on social media there are quite a few in Stage 1 that aren't fussed about going at all and others that might not ever been away before are bouncing about going. I think that it will come out in the wash and everyone that wants a ticket will get one.

Can't see more than 2000 people going to USA and Iran matches. Pretty sure everyone that wants a Cat 3 will get it. We should sell out the England game, tho. A dry party to follow when we top the group ;-)

My guess is we will not take anymore than 2000 to any game. Anyone than wants a ticket should get one. That's great from a getting a hold of a ticket point of view but tragic being that we're in the WC Finals for the first time in 64 years with only 2,000 fans being present
