5 goals in less than 90mins of football for our u17s against Israel warrants his own thread I think! Having come on in the second half on Monday to turn the game round from 1-0 down to a 2-1 win, he has now scored a hattrick before half time in the second game against them this week. He's been Swansea u18s top scorer this season, and just made the jump up to u21 football. One to watch!

Definitely one to watch. He was featured in s4c “Bois Yr Academy”. Signed to the same company and representatives that looked after Gareth Bale.

A brace tonight for the U'17's against Scotland, one of them was an absolute cracker I would be inclined to get him involved in the Swans first team squad asap. Could do no worse than a disinterested Piroe, and they have nothing left to play for, to good for a relegation dog fight, and not good enough to challenge for a play off spot.

He's now scored 7 goals for us in less than 180min of football. That's just ridiculous

Scottish keeper had a very poor game but made an absolute worldy to deny Morgan the hat trick. He’s probably a shot stopper type. Flapped at a cross and the 2nd Cymru goal was a nightmare pass from the back.

If this was 20+ years ago he’d already be featuring featuring for Swansea or on loan to another championship/ league 1 team. This is serious talent. Fuck u23s.

I think there'll be a push for him to step up to first team football at the Swans pretty soon. Maybe next season.
There won't be any money available, so we'll have to replace the likes of Piroe somehow.

I remember when Rooney came on the scene, and a pundit or manager said the reason Rooney was so good at 16 was because he was already a 'man'. Other players of that age are still growing, and need to fill out. Morgan reminds me of Rooney in that sense, he looks like he's fully grown already which gives him an advantage over other players of a similar age.
How far is he off the Swansea team / squad? Must be close given how poor they are at the moment.
P.S. Great to have another Welsh speaker amongst the age groups. We may be heading for a record in how many Welsh speakers actually line up for Wales at one given time.

Think he made the step up from their u18s to u23s at the beginning of the year, and has already made a good start at u23 level. Hopefully he won't hang around at that level too long, but there are no signs of an imminent breakthrough into the seniors, particularly with Whittaker returning on loan, Cullen doing reasonably well, and obviously Piroe is the main man. You've probably got Josh Thomas, who's a bit older and doing well for their u23s + just scored for our u21s, ahead of him too. So he needs to produce the numbers at u23 for the rest of the season and see where that takes him.

Stori'r Iaith on S4C annoyed me a bit as it was blowing smoke up people's arses about the situation of the Welsh language. But as you say, hopefully numbers will increase in-line with Welsh Governments' plans.

If you take an average of both estimates the overall number of speakers is probably slightly higher than it was pre-Devolution I'd bet I think it's something like 40% of Welsh speakers are aged under 35, so I think over the coming decades we will see an increase in overall percentage. The decline of the 20th century has definitely been halted at the very least - we're not bleeding speakers anymore I've also read a piece of research that said in 200-300 years time all of Wales will be bilingual and I do believe that. If we can get above 50% speakers nation wide the language will become more self-sufficient as well Anyway I'm going on now, interesting topic to me fel dysgwyr iaith!

I live in West Wales and while the number of kids going through Welsh Education is increasing, however it’s my belief we’re losing lots of youngsters who go on to Uni etc and move away as there aren’t the opportunities down here for them. There are also lots of people moving in to Wales from the other side of the Dyke, some are Welsh retiring back to Wales after a career elsewhere and others are English moving down here after retiring as there’s a quieter and “better” quality of life here. my post isn’t meant to be political or controversial or anti anything, I’m just expressing my opinion from my experience.
