Can anyone point me in the direction of travel options from the south for the Gibraltar friendly at the race course. The train is an option for the way up, but the last train back leaves at 21:45.

Cardiff You have several options, if you need to get back the same night you should drive, there are several routes you could use, I would use Google maps to find the best route on the day as traffic especially on the motorways can be busy. If you don't drive but still need to get back the same night you could share a lift with someone who is travelling from cardiff, I'm certain if you put a plea out on this forum that someone will take you. If you don't need to get back the same night you could get some digs in Wrexham and get the train back the next day. |

I’m the last person we need to book this. I have terrible bad luck, the last two wales away trips have been nightmares. Cancelled flights, hotels, fixture changes.
Probably better to leave this to someone who knows what they doing.

It's home travel though, not 'away'!!
Llandudno or Amlwch fans travel much further to night games in Cardiff (almost 5 hours by car) rather than the short 2 and a bit hours 'hop' from say Abergavenny to Wrecsam. They still though don't class it as an away trip.
Will give the eds 'benefit of the doubt' though this time - and agree to blame OP on this occasion for the gaffe!

it’s not actually an extra train, they’ve just pushed it back about 20mins and then runs all the way through rather what usually just begins at Shrewsbury. TfW were running a sale up until a few days ago (think it was either the 30th or the 1st) 50% off. I had a look, out of interest as I am not attending, could get a return for £37 from Newport, but the train left just after the game then. Typical. |
