Cian Ashford is very highly rated at Cardiff. Started playing for (and scored for) the under 18s at 14, signed a pro deal at 16 this summer and plays in the under 23s

He’s scored for the u23’s and has looked impressive.
It’s been suggested on the Cardiff City forum that he may get an call up to the first team in the not so distant future, despite still being very young.
He has a rare natural ability that needs to be carefully nurtured. A very talented lad.

Cian Ashford another highly touted forward prospect with Cardiff. Leeds and Manchester United sniffing around him though so perhaps not with us for long

Young boy Ashford got all four for Cardiff Under 21 at Haverfordwest today.

Cian Ashford (18) and Joel Colwill (18) made their debuts in the League Cup on Tuesday, nice to see Ashford rewarded for his 4 goals against Haverfordwest if only briefly
Ashford had a lot of buzz and is still only 18, hopefully he can kick on

A decent double for the u21s' Cian Ashford

Bit more than decent that second goal. Looks a real talent Wish he'd get a shot at Cardiff Infuriating that they're wasting bench spots on the likes of Sawyers

Well he definitely has something doesn't he?
I saw him for Wales U21s - the quality of his strike to equalise against the Czech Republic was world class. Then in that clip you see his pace and skill
It all about whether he can keep fit and has the right attitude in terms of his ceiling.
Hopefully is not as invisible as Colwill. The skill of the guy but lack of any impact at Cardiff is disturbing. I just do not understand it. Its hard to see him developing into a top quality player as with that skill those type of players stand out at a young age and make something happen and make a difference to results

That may be about to change. He definitely has a lot of quality, but I would be careful about reading too much into that sort of run and goal against an u23 side. From what I've seen, he's not the most rapid despite what that clip suggests. He might be ready for a battle with Tanner for a cameo role off the bench, but I suspect he'd struggle if he were to be introduced into the senior side. Would love to be proved wrong of course!

Does anyone know where he’s from? My old man asked me and I thought I knew but then I couldn’t think.
If someone says Wales I’m blocking them 😁

Late late winner from the kid, reminiscent of Woodburn’s strike against Austria. Ave it
