Seems we can only perform at home under Page. Our last away results read like this Slovakia 4-0 - loss Armenia 1-1 - draw Latvia 0-2 - win Turkey 2-0 - loss Croatia 1-1 - draw Belgium 2-1 - loss Netherlands 3-2 - loss Poland 2-1 - loss Can't qualify for anything if you can't get results away from home Edit* 4-0 We made really hard work of that Latvia win too.

Extremely poor from Ampadu at the end too. Worrying that even he is looking 'checked out'.

Seriously if we lose every Nations League game - how low can our ranking go?
They need to think about this - its over

2 more years of this. We'll be lucky to get 10k at home by the end of his tenure. The damage he and the board are doing is massive. I wrote on Twitter, we're sleepwalking into another dark era, and the FAW don't seem to care.

That is not a good Slovakia side either. They won't do anything at the tournament. When I looked at who qualified they were one of the sides I thought we were better than on paper. Not on that showing

I am reluctant to draw too many conclusions from these friendlies but where is the fun in that? And it's feeling pretty miserable at the moment.
I think we have been desperately unlucky in some key players not developing as we would like or picking up long term injuries, but did we do enough to manage this tricky developmental process? Are we doing enough with the players who have made it to a decent level?
As a wider point, feck Giggs for not being able to be a good person free from controversy and can we expect top quality athletes when we have so many children/adults living unhealthy lifestyles?
Get this season done please. Let's all go have a break and try and recover from what has been a sh*t end to things all round.

What did we gain by playing Moore for 90mins again?

"They had 6 at times against our 4 and we knew we'd concede chances against them". Then change it?

Strip it all back. Got to be harder to beat. We have this arrogance I feel when it comes to tactics that we're better than we are by the way we play obsessed with playing out the back of just keeping the ball with no intention.
Men behind the ball. Manage the transitions and play it into dangerous areas and get around each other.
Bollocks to missing players. It'd be the same score and performance with them tonight.

"They had 6 at times against our 4 and we knew we'd concede chances against them". Then change it? Gwennan Harris questioned the exact same thing just now. He just doesn't or can't change things. There's no tactical nous at all.

"They had 6 at times against our 4 and we knew we'd concede chances against them". Then change it? Also strange that he saw today as "an opportunity to try a back 4" after the pressure coming from the last result. Misjudgment on his part as we looked really vulnerable with that. He should have gone for a back 5 to try and a result that would get more fans on side. This game has just turned more against him if anything!

Far too soft at the beginning of the second half, lack of intensity in closing down and just poor mistakes all over. The midfield were poor, Ampadu was really poor and at fault for a couple of the goals. Actually thought Da Silva played alright (one of the positives coming out of the window for me), Cabango generally did well but caught out for the second goal, and Stevens showed some promise although understandably not quite ready yet.
Koumas and Da Silva are the only positives coming out of this window, struggling to think of any others!

Technically very good too. Whether Page would give him opportunities in a competitive match is another question.

Trying to be fair:
1. None of our usual back 5 were available.
2. None of our experienced/quality players played well: Ward, Ampadu, Dan James, Moore and Johnson. JJ - so good against Croatia and Turkey - was also poor.
3. The team hasn't played for a month, and it showed in the energy levels.
However, even allowing for all that, and a decent first half showing, the second half performance was terrible. Completely lacking in shape, energy and conviction. If the players want Page to continue as manager they certainly didn't show it tonight.
Should Page get the sack? I don't think a knee jerk reaction is wise, so I hope for a period of reflection from the FAW before making a decision. But if he does go, I can't say I'll be disappointed.

Not sure why we didn't change it? My only rationale being is we keep calling up a squad without actually realizing how each player would actually be utilized and if they'd actually be useful as certain scenarios or events play out in a match.
No one on that bench tonight offers us anything different to the norm with exception of Koumas. Very one dimensional.
If I'm Page I'd be thinking right if I want to bring a midfielder on. Someone whose combative, be a presence in midfield, break up their attacks and protect the back line and give our more creative mids license to attack. We didn't have it.
Or need to bring on another striker who can chase loose balls and stretch their back line? Again didn't have it.
Tricky winger, who can take players on and get us up the pitch? Didn't have it.
Or a calming presence in defence? We didn't have it.
We have options we just choose to not bother calling them up. Again not suggesting they start but could be more useful coming off the bench IF and big IF the situation arises. Might need them but we might not.
We're calling up a good portion of these lads solely just to train and not trust them to play. If we can't trust them why bother.

2nd half was all over the shop and the substitutions made things worse. Cullen and Koumas were out of position but at least Lewis was lively and effective. Cullen doesn’t deserve a squad place any more unfortunately.
Burns disappointed again but we have better options in his position anyway. Sheehan isnt quite up to starting but competent back up
Da Silva has impressed, I’d be happy with him starting on the left going forward with Neco on the right.

Agree. Annoyed me when Colwill was taken off and Cullen moved to 10, would have been useful to see how Rubin got on with James and Johnson alongside him

Sheehan did better than people are giving credit for. Prevented a certain goal first half, good set piece delivery and made a decent contribution defensively. Not so great creatively in open play but still a 6 out of 10 performance. No worse than Dasilva.

Iwan Roberts saying players like Johnson would never get away with that lack of work ethic at club level. He said the spurs manager would be ranting and raving down the touch line at him but page simply stood there arms folded…Sadly it’s becoming the norm at Welsh camps

Fair enough if he volunteered to do it but when you mention the arms folded. Maybe he's just not that bothered about friendlies.

Ward had a real shocker tonight. Didn't move at all for all 4 goals plus the disallowed one. He has to agitate for a move this summer. It's in no one's interest that he doesn't even make the matchday squad.
