dragonsoccer clarifying that "Wales will not be facing Georgia on the 5th June, the FA Wales were offered the game, but declined" That man Mooney is out of touch with the fans! There is nothing that would be more pleasing than a khachapuri (or 5) before our flight to Budapest / Bratislava ;-) #Mooney.Out

Decent test but we're familiar enough with them.

We played Slovakia in 2019 home & away, 2016 in Bordeaux and before that was the euro 2008 qualifiers, 2006 home (5-1 loss, Paul Jones 50 hair and Bale’s first goal) and 2007 away (5-2 win). Barely often!!!!

So still no news of a KO time for the Slovakia match.
But the other question is there going to be another friendly match around that time? Have the FAW said anything about that? As I understand it June 3-11th are available for friendly matches. I’m been hold on off booking Slovakia travel in case of another match.
Incidentally the Slovakia match is not even listed on the EUFA website.
Come on FAW let’s have some communication. Something like we’re still looking at options or no there won’t be another match would help.

Problem with these games is we are "test" games for the teams going to the Euros.

It's a good chance for page to blood the youngsters.

Nice stadium, but in the middle of nowhere just off the A22 Motorway. Quite difficult to get to without a car.. Been a few times when my Portuguese team (SC Olhanense) were in the top flight and their home ground was deemed not big enough for the visits of Benfica / Sporting.

We'll learn absolutely nothing here, mint. Nice trip for the blazers and their wives. A poor test for our players unless he plays the kids, which he probably will, and keep the men for Slovakia.

Might not be a case of learning things, more a case of introducing players into international football with an easy ride. There's no other reason to pick Gibraltar again than to be planning to test new players out. It was a useful exercise for Joe Low, JJ & Charlie Savage last time, but I'd like to see more youth options explored, and perhaps some fringe EFL bolters too
A lineup like this would be good to watch;
O. Evans Cabango-Low-Turns Burns-JJ-Savage-Dasilva Colwill-Harris Mullin
Koumas, Beck, Stevens, King, Crew - I would like to see some of these on the bench and getting a cameo too. Need to look towards building an exciting team for Euro 2028 imo. Of course we want to get to WC26 but a more realistic aim is being competitive at our home tournament

I think this is exactly the plan. See who stakes a claim to be involved in the next game. Can see us lining up against Slovakia with something like; Ward Cabango-Low-Davies Neco-JJ-Savage-Dasilva Colwill-Brooks Brennan

Might not be a case of learning things, more a case of introducing players into international football with an easy ride. I don't get this. They've already been introduced to football and are already playing against better opponents. It's the same rules in international football. I guess they might use trips like this to gauge player dynamics/togetherness or try a new system... but even then, it's hard to take any information from the game itself.

Good for young players to build confidence early in their careers for us. If we played someone like Georgia/Romania for example you could see our youngsters getting the runaround and straight away their confidence may take a hit A comfy win and these players may feel on the up and up, want to chase more and get good loan moves in search of regular games to get in the squad in future

Does feel like a pointless fixture given the opposition but doesn't hurt to send the team somewhere nice and warm for an easy game and some team building
