Hoping everyone in Swansea and throughout Wales have their fingers crossed for him.

Sad to hear of his passing today at only 71.
I'm not interested in all the club rivalry nonsense. I used to enjoy listening to his punditry on the Saturday BBC football programme many years ago, as well as Call Rob. Big fave with my father so this is especially sad.

Scored in the 1-0 victory at Wembley.
Spoke his mind.
71 no age. RIP.

Was a top player on his day, didn’t get the credit he deserved outside Wales.

That's really hit home. He and Carl Harris were my heroes growing up. At times he was unplayable, destroyed England at the Racecourse in 1980. Desperately sad news. RIP

Detroyed Czechoslovakia at Wrexham 1977 when they were European champions.
One of the greats.
Sad day.

He could get people out of their seats
There is no better advertisement for football than an entertainer and excellent wing forwards are amongst the best entertainers of them all. A Welsh hero of the 70s and early 80s for sure.
RIP Leighton

Yes, I would pay good money to see a quality winger, Leighton obviously stands out from that time as he was Welsh but there was a chap at Wolves about the same time called Steve Kindon, very much in the Leighton James mould.

Scored in the 1-0 victory at Wembley. Spoke his mind. 71 no age. RIP. I was there! Epic night. One of my favorite players, played with such freedom and confidence, used to turn defenders each and every way. Really sad news.
