listened to the radio wales sports news tonight on the way home from work. the england/pakistan cricket result and martin o neill quitting aston villa were considered more important to welsh sports fans than wales game on wednesday and simon davies retiring from international football.

In comparison to the western fail, wales on Sunday, sky sports and terrestrial TV news, I generally find radio Wales pretty good when it comes to passionate and infromed coverage of Welsh football. I think the lack of games on BBC Wales (TV) won't really help though, because they won't be so keen on the radio to publicise a game that can only be seen live or on sky sports. shame.

There was a live interview with Barry Horne on BBC Radio Wales about 6pm about Simon Davies last night And a discussion between Oliver Hides, Ian Walsh (Simon's uncle of course) and Mark Delaney - about 8.30 yesterday morning. Replayed the commentary of the Italy win too.
