For of those who are not going to Montenegro, why don't we all converge on a pub, will make a difference to watch the match with people who are interested instead of being sat in the city centre listening to people asking for the england game to be put on...
Anyone up for it?

The position of the screens are poor in the Halfway though unless you are there very early?
How about Dempseys in town?

I remember when I lived in Bristol and would travel to Cardiff to watch our away matches in bars amongst like minded people and more often than not I was Billy bloody no mates too- on my own watching the big screen whilst everyone else carried on drinking, completely oblivious to the fact wales were playing football. Depressing.

I'm up for anywhere, only prob with dempseys is if the irish are playing we got no chance!! How about somewhere like Varsity? Big screen and cheap beer, or Lloyds as well, it starts earlier if i remember correctly?

Agreed, Queen's Vaults is excellent, was there for the World Cup final. Also go there regularly to play pool. It has some excellent artwork of the 2005 Grand Slam winning team. Only problem, it is a little bit small, which could be a problem depending on how many of us are down there and if a lot of others turn up. Somewhere like the Gatekeeper (Wetherspoon's) would be comfortably big enough to accomodate a large party.

Yes, all the Wetherspoons bars that I have been to (including the Gatekeeper) have had Sky.

sound then, cheaper beer as well! Sounds like a plan, 6:30pm kick off means a straight out from work for me as well. Only work across the road, so bonus all around!!

I'd vote for the Queen's Vaults ahead of the Gatekeeper - we watched Russia v Wales in there and there was more than enough space. Also if you go to the Queen's Vaults you'd be guaranteed to hear the anthems and the commentary. I was in the Gatekeeper one Friday night during the World Cup and only one TV had the volume up. Plus you'd get the general Friday night crowd which would dilute the atmosphere a bit.
One other thought - the Mochyn Du? There's a crowd of us who go there regularly for Wales away games.

this is a great idea rhysage, I'm out with around 15 to 20 other lads so we will head to whatever pub the board agrees on

Ireland kick off is 5pm UK time, so it will overlap with Montenego v Wales at 6.30pm.
