Thought I'd start another slightly pointless "what's the team gonna be for Montenegro" thread in a moment of boredom.
This ain't me saying this is the team I would necessarily pick, but the team I imagine Tosh will pick.
So, its gonna be 4-5-1 of some kind.
Striker: Surely it will be Morrison. He is clearly the only on-form forward in the squad who's playing every match for his club.
Midfield: Bale and Bellamy definitely out wide, I'd have thought.
Then its three from: Ledley, Vaughan, Edwards, King and Allen. I expect Tosh will choose Ledley cos he's now a fixture, Vaughan cos finally we have a holding mid playing regular in the prem, and Edwards, through loyalty despite the fact he's not a regular at Wolves right now.
Defence: Ricketts (despite not playing for club), Gunter as full backs. And then I guess it will be Collins and Williams at centre back.
Goalkeeper: anyone's guess out of Hennessey and Myhill, though I imagine it will be Hennessey.
So, my prediction for Tosh's pick this w/e is:
Morrison
Bale, Ledley, Vaughan, Edwards, Bellamy
Gunter, Williams, Collins, Ricketts
Hennessey
If I'm wrong about anyone, it'll be Edwards and Hennessey.
My outside fear is that he'll play Collins and Gabbs at the back, with Williams in midfield, dropping Edwards or Vaughan to the bench - essentially back to 5-4-1.
