In terms of international goals Berbatov has been by far their best forward. They aren't going to suddenly become a bad side but I'd be surprised if they don't see some drop-off in attacking threat at a result of his retirement.

Thats as maybe, but reading that report its yet another side who are all about packing the midfield post World cup 2010. Can we break them down? I dont think we can if we play our usual pedestrian style, passing it around comfortably in front of them. more of what we saw against Scotland and Luxembourg and we will at least give them a bloody hard time.

the noises coming out of the camp suggest that we will be attacking teams from now on. all part of Our Leader's Masterplan all along, i assume.

I'll say this much, if this is the campaign that we come good and start making a fight of it then I will forgive him the past 5 years of turgid bollocks. He has quietly built a 'squad' now of players who have been regulars at international level. Time to show that he has learnt from debacles like the finland home game and be positive on the pitch. No more time for excuses.
