Excited for the draw, just wish we could get crowds in for home fixtures. Wonder how far off we are still.

The draw is on Tuesday 1st September for those interested After tonight's fantastic results it means we now have 3 teams through to the 2nd qualifying round, all 2 wins away from the Europa League group stages 3 wins: Sounds stupid but it goes Prelim, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Play-off, Group Stages. Fingers crossed that the Nomads might get one of the three unseeded teams that they could get and that TNS might get a decent draw. I hope Bala get Spurs, Rangers, Aberdeen or Motherwell frankly as I can't see a seeded team they could beat. Was thinking the same about Bala, but no disrespect to them though can you imagine they drew Spurs. It could be double figures.

Last night I had a look through the teams that made the group stage last season - the one that stood out to me was Dudelange of Luxembourg making the group stages. If one of our teams had a run of draws like them it would be entirely possible we could see a team go all the way to the groups. To make the groups last time Dudelange played; 1Q: Valletta (Malta) 2Q: Shkendija (North Macedonia) 3Q: Nomme Kalju (Estonia) P.O: Ararat (Armenia) Fingers crossed one of our teams gets luck like that. Without 2 legged fixtures the chances go up greatly - fingers crossed for the draw!

Well done to Bala Tn and TNS, surprising results and good luck to them going forward in the competition. Two glamour home draws would be great, and might give the Cymru Premier profile a boost too.

Best hope for something like that given the rules is the Nomads ending up against Dynamo Brest in the PO Round (who they ironically would've played in the UCL qualifiers if they had seen off FK Sarajevo.

Nothing like the present for the stars to align
Just looking at potential 'glamour' opponents in the draw. The two that stand out are AC Milan & Spurs. The next ring of clubs below that are definitely still glamour draws in comparison to us are ; Wolfsburg, Galatasaray, Basel, Dinamo Moscow, Copenhagen, Stade De Reims, Galatasaray, and I suppose the two Glasgow clubs

Just checked an updated coefficient and Wales went down to the 4th worst nation in Europe, 5 places below Gibraltar. A few above us are down to only one team left now though.

The pre-draw thing has been done:
TNS are in pot 3 meaning: IFK Göteborg (Sweden), Coleraine FC (Northern Ireland) or B36 Tórshavn (Faroe Islands). Bala are in pot 5 meaning: Aberdeen (Scotland) Standard Liege (Belgium) or Willem II (Netherlands) The Nomads will face one of: Ararat (Armenia), Fola Esch (Luxembourg), FK Sileks (Macedonia), Buducnost Podgorica (Montenegro), Dinamo Tbilisi (Georgia), Astana (Kazakhstan) or KF Drita (Kosovo)
Think TNS stand a chance if they avoid IFK, Bala are done for and the Nomads need a home draw (preferably avoiding Astana or Dinamo too).

Yeah agree with your summary there - decent chance of getting 2 teams through to round 3! Aberdeen is probably the slightly better draw for Bala given all-UK affairs tend to be a bit scrappier

That's Bala (and probably Nomads) fucked

Tbilisi at home in a one legged tie though. I don't know the strength of the Georgian club game but I can't remember any of them doing anything. Certainly not the Dinamo Tbilisi of the Soviet era.

Thats a tough draw for Nomads for sure. Still,i remember seeing Llanelli beating Dinamo Tiblisi 2-1 at Parc y Scarlets in 2011,Jordan Follows getting both goals. They had 5 out suspended as well including top scorer Rhys Griffiths.Lost 5-0 in the second leg though. Nomads being at home in a one off tie gives them an outside chance, against the club who won the cup winners cup in 1981.
TNS in the Faroe islands should win but wont be taking Torshavn lightly thats for sure, after what happened to Barry. Mission Impossible for Bala i suppose, will be played at CCS as well probably.

Got a feeling TNS will pull it off, just about enjoying the experience for Bala, Connah’s Quay I’m a bit on the fence on. Huge distance for Tbilisi to travel especially under these conditions, they’ll definitely be at a disadvantage. I’ll go for a Connah’s Quay win, not to be negative but if they don’t pick up a win they’ve completely wasted their European opportunity this year. Would be good if they can use this league win to step up to TNS’ level in Europe.

Didn't Llanelli beat Dinamo Tbilisi (at home) a few years back? With all the travelling involved from Georgia there's a chance, and Connahs Quay will be well organised.

Yeah beat them 2-1, then lost 5-0 away. They lost to Tirana 2-0 at home in the Champions League and I think Connah's Quay have a very decent chance against them

Edit: blew it. Last minute equaliser then lost on pens

To concede the late equaliser was bad, to be one pen away from going through is even worse - heartbreaking for them!
Cei Connah the last chance for us realistically then

I think I'm right in saying that, after tonight's draw (in coefficient eyes), the fourth European place is probably safe for another year as long as KR Reykjavik and Buducnost Podgorica lose tomorrow evening (even if Bala and Connah's Quay lose).

Bit shocked at the TNS result to be honest. 2 Welsh teams knocked out by Faroese teams, will do wonders for their coefficient.

Yet another shocking result for our WPL teams. Getting worse not better Well to be fair, under normal circumstances this tie would only be 50% done and would have ended 1-1 with TNS in the driver's seat on away goals and a home leg to look forward to. Knockout matches like these introduce a level of chaos and pressures TNS probably aren't used to, gut-wrenching for them to level at the death of the 90', then to go ahead but get pegged back only seconds away from victory. Next season this format will probably be kept, so last night should serve as a severe learning curve for them as to the levels they need to attain in order to progress.

To be fair, it's very hard for these sides with the one-legged nation of this years competition.
Whilst TNS should be beating a side from the Faroes over two legs, drawing away from home would be by no means a bad result.
EDIT: Texan's beaten me to this point.
