I'm sure many people on here would have interesting recommendations for places to see. A general rule when it comes to Welsh culture is that west is best! And that's coming from someone who has always lived in the south-east, so no biases!

Thanks Diolch Hvala Thank you for the information. Also, can anyone suggest me good website for learning Welsh language? Is it Duolingo fine for that? Sorry for off topic, i ll not continue here Duolingo is a good starter, although from when I used it it was very focused on the northern dialect in particular. Say Something In Welsh is a different app that lets you choose northern or southern dialect & it gets good feedback. Clozemaster is a different one that I've tried Dysgu Cymraeg / Learn Welsh is the official place that runs courses, some of which are digital so if you wanted official lessons you could do it there. I think their entry course is £90 You're also welcome to try to write in the Welsh section on this forum. I'm a learner myself & make plenty of mistakes, but the Welsh speakers on here seem to just about understand me, so they're very patient / respectful. If you speak English & Serbian already I wouldn't be surprised if you pick up Cymraeg quicker than me!

Welcome! | Croeso! | Velkommen!
Hope you bring us good luck against Austria next month!
Did you know that 40 years ago "Valley Girl" (a Welsh-sounding title, if ever there was one) was a top-40 hit for Frank Zappa and his daughter, Moon ?

Thank you Always proud of my city, even though our football club leaves much to be desired! I look forward to stand in the crowd and sing Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau (which I've been practicing intensely)

I'm a red wall member so I've been able to get a ticket for the Austria game, but unfortunately I'm not eligible for tickets for the Scotland/Ukraine game since I have no previous booking history with Wales. But it's alright, I'll find a nice pub in Canton and have a good time

It was without a doubt the greatest football experience I've ever had. What a team and what an incredible, unbelieveable atmosphere. I've never felt so welcome in a foreign country, and if I can get tickets, I'll be back for the playoff finals. Cymru am byth!

Name: Ceri Location: Suffolk ;Rhondda born Age: 54 First Wales game England 1980 First away game England 1981 All time Welsh hero: Neville Southall Welsh language - picked up a few worlds from my mum and dad
Thought it was time to join a forum given mission impossible is finally, finally going to happen. My dad who had me in later life was football mad and alway talked about 58. We shared the heartache of the qualification near misses.
In 2002 my dad bought bought my three year old son his first Wales kit. That set the tone for my son, who despite being born in England to an English mother, is a passionate Welshman. I remember him at five telling his English grandparents there was no point in buying him an England kit as he was Welsh.
When he and I headed off to France in 2016 his English mates called him a glory hunter. That did make me laugh l. When rationalising the cost of that trip to my still girlfriend/ his mum I described it as a once in a lifetime experience. I also said it felt like my then late dad would be travelling with us.
Fast forward to 2022 and I’m now trying to explain to her again why Qatar is actually that one in a lifetime event. My son is in Crete on holiday with his mates and is just so excited I’m even trying to make it happen for us.
I honestly believe myself and my son would again be taking a part of my dad with us if we do actually get to the games. The only obstacle is a cockney whose mantra is “All that money for a football match. Think what we could do to the house l” 😊

Assuming you are from Vancouver, what an amazing part of the world that is. I lived in Bellingham for a year in the mid 90s. I have also been to Vancouver many times, firstly for Expo 86. I have family in North Delta and when visiting them in 1990, I went to watch the Vancouver 86ers. I remember Canada in Mexico 86 where I think they lost each game 2-0. Wales should have qualified for that tournament too (sob)
