'Then playing for Walsall, the 24-year-old won his first senior cap for Wales in their defeat by Ukraine in March, giving him the chance to rub shoulders with the duo.' That would make perfect sense if it wasn't for the fact that neither Bale nor Ramsey were involved in the squad for the Northern Ireland & Ukraine friendlies.

Right. What does bradshaw have to do to get a call up. What's he done wrong? 7 goals this year so far yet no call up

Right. What does bradshaw have to do to get a call up. What's he done wrong? 7 goals this year so far yet no call up C'mon, he's Tom Bradshaw not Gareth Bale! Great to see him getting a couple in today, but it's not like he's been banging them in for fun since joining Barnsley. He has around a one in five ratio which is pretty poor for a striker. Prior to today, he'd scored 2 in 9 in the league this season. Out of interest, who do you think he should be in the squad in place of?

His goal ratio is exactly 1 in 3 - which is more than decent for a striker - 13 goals in 39 games in all competitions for Barnsley. Even more impressive when you consider that half the games (18 to be precise) were off the bench.
He's knocking on the door, not least because he brings something a bit different to Vokes and HRK, but his case for being in the squad right now isn't compelling. He just needs to persevere. It would only take an injury to Vokes or HRK for him to be called up again.

Not sure where you've got that info from, but he's had 34 league starts and an extra 17 appearances off the bench for barnsley, scoring ten goals (or might be 12 after today). It's usually measured on goals per appearances and that would equate to one in five.

My bad. I misinterpreted the 34 games in the league as total games, rather than just the starting tally. Mind you he has had 4 from 10 games this season, with 7 starts. I like the look of him, but he would have to be banging the goals in for fun, or getting loads of assists to make a compelling case to be in the squad. At least it's a realistic ambition for him.

Completely agree. I'm sure he will feature for us in future and, as you say, he's only a couple of injuries away from being involved in the squad. My feeling is he'll never progress to a level where he's an important asset for us but I hope he proves me wrong. I just don't understand it when people say "how is he not in the squad" as if it's a no-brainer. The only one of our forwards he could make a claim against is marley watkins, but that's hardly clear cut and doesn't warrant any moaning.

Cookie and him have probably sat down for a coffee and decided it's best for him to keep training with his club and settling into the Championship.
He's got a future with us, he looked good when he came on against Ukraine (I think).
Billy Bodin will be a good option down the line too!

Agreed, awful tackle Bodin's banging them in for fun at the moment, a Championship move in January?

Yeah true.
Its a strange one with Bradshaw/Watkins...last season when Watkins was the form player, Tom got the nod each time. Now, when Watkins is not playing as well and Bradshaw is still scoring at the same rate (if not better) Watkins has moved ahead of him.
While Watkins does offer a bit more versatility I cant help but think its simply because he's at a 'bigger' club in Norwich.

Drop Bale from the squad and call Bradshaw up if he isn't fit.

If the standby list on the squad discussion thread is any indication, Bradshaw wont replace Bale because he's not even on that!

Drop Bale from the squad and call Bradshaw up if he isn't fit. I am sure they can squeeze one extra body onto the plane. No need to drop anyone

Drop Bale from the squad and call Bradshaw up if he isn't fit. Glad the FAW decided to listen to me. I'll also tell them to accept the China cup invitation.

Is the standby list there to make Church feel included?
Surprised OFW didn't make that.

Bradshaw was involved in a car crash yesterday. Apparently it’s not serious and he’s hoping to play against Leeds on Saturday.

Was never going to be good enough for international football. Personally surprised he has got the caps that he has Bit unfair when he's not been given a chance. I would argue that we have capped quite a few players over the years that are not 'international class', yet have done a good job for us. We are not a nation spoiled with 'international class' players.
