Gethin Jones playing for Mansfield Town as well. Yep. A little disappointed with him, though. A bit rough and ready, but not really the player that we were promised 5 years ago ;-( On the other hand, out Regan is doing really well. Had two massive clearances off the line and one excellent block. Only thing I can fault Poole on is his distribution. Almost all his long range through balls were very poor ;-(

WEMBLEY! If any of you guys went to Mansfield - then please take a bow! The support was amazing. Totally vocal throughout. If we could have the same level of noise from our 1100 out in Osijek, we will win it ;-)
Totally deserved visit to the Capital. Looking forward to see our George try to out wit this mean defence ;-)
A note for your diary ... Saturday 3pm 25 May

1 of the best away atmospheres I've been at, from before the game right through to the end.

I've read that Newport are expecting to take anything up to 12000 fans today. Can any Newport fan who isn't already 10 beers down shed light on where the extra 6000 fans have come from since 2013?
Have the FA Cup runs increased interest in the side or is there another factor?

I think they're heading for penalties. I've found both to be pretty poor to be honest. Tranmere looked slightly more dangerous and certainly more aggressive in parts.

Demetriou probably should've joined him too! I fancy Newport to win this on pens.

A clear penalty not given minutes before O'Brien's red card and another turned down just seconds before. County were very unfortunate to lose
Interestingly, Tranmere have faced 10 men in each of their 3 play off games

The second booking on O'Brien was fair - but the first was a nothing challenge. Newport can feel hard done by with the decisions that didn't go their way. The handball was more of a handball than the one United got against PSG, besides the blatant trip subsequently.
Poole played well - apart from the goal, when he was left marking space.
Although Flynn is clearly a good manager, the style of football is a bit prehistoric. Could Flynn evolve over time? Time will tell, but I won't be holding my breath over it.

He's only a couple of years into management, so far it's obvious that he's got brilliant man management skills, but it probably does him a little bit of disservice to leave it there. My hunch is that he's more similar to someone that's flexible with their style of play, like Garry Monk or Chris Coleman than to someone like Nathan Jones, who has a clear philosphy. The style of football at Newport is probably necessary for the players he's got to be fair... and it's been effective! and it's not all hoof, and they wouldn't be true to themselves if they wanted to try and play tiki taka all of the sudden. Like you say, time will tell if he's able to adjust his managing to fit into a side like Swansea who have a clear idea of how they like to play!

To be fair, he's working with one of the lowest budgets in League 2

True, but I really can't help wonder if Flynn is Pulis' love child, given the similarities in defensive organisation and style of play. They do both come from Pill after all.
