If Flynn was'nt in charge I would be all for it, but what has Venables been doing for the past few years, probably sunning himself up in Spain. We dont want another Toshack. I think the FAW will go for the least expensive and better option.

According to radio wales this morning, apparently El Tel was reported to have said 'its just speculation' - that's worrying.

Sounds ominous, at least he's Welsh.

Somebody has already updated El Tel's wikipedia entry today to say he's been linked with Wales. WTF!!!! I'm going to follow up my Channel Islands ancestry and start supporting them if that joker comes anywhere near us.

His mother was Welsh and he lived in Wales for a while, his mother castigated him when he chose to play for England.

Terry Venables won his 2 England caps in 1964. You weren't allowed to play for a county one of your parents was born in until the early 70s. Not sure if the Grandparent ruling came in at that time too. Anyone?
Anyway, a perma- tanned manager with a massive ego, loads of friends/cheerleaders in the media, won la liga once back the late 80s but hasn't had much success since the early 90s... Remind you of anyone?!
I'd have thought the last thing most Wales fans want is an English version of Tosh.
