Scores in a 4-1 Champions league win for Spurs this evening! I'm now going to get down on my knees and pray to God, Allah, Hare Krishna and Yoda that he somes through unscathed against Villa on Saturday.
He's another to add to the list of Welsh goalscorers in the Champions league now- (not old European cup, so since 1992)
Giggs, Ramsey, Bellamy, Pembridge (for Benfica), Saunders? Hartson? Hughes? Speed? Anyone got a definitive list?

If Bale is 'running on empty' why did Harry play him for the full 94 mins tonight?

World Class - agree. He dived for the penalty, though!

By the way for anyone who didn't see it he was absolutely awesome (world class trendy) Hes pretty much nailed on to be bloody diabolical in the double header then. Serious question, when was the last time a player of ours successfully took their outstanding club form into an international? Bale was phenomenal before the montenegro game for Spurs and yet did not hit those heights in the match itself (although was still the best player on the pitch, more due to our players underperforming than him bringing his club form).

All british players look world class in the Prem. Make a team of Brits only and they dont quite cut the mustard. England in the WC, as always are proof of this. the foreigners bring the best out of Brits, period.

What a patronising twat! Complaining that he isn't English. Why do the morrisdancers say that about every Welsh talent, but never say it about any other nationality. If the english cant produce their own players do something about it and stop wishing half the Welsh squad were english. Plus I love it how Redknapp tries to take the credit for Bale being the player that we already knew he was years ago. He wasn't even willing to give him a chance until he had no other choice.

redknapp is the embodiment of the little-englander syndrome that is becoming ever more rife in the mainstream media's coverage of the 'EPL'.

At least if he does it in the future, we will be able to point to this and denounce him as a blatant liar.
