I cant see why people are against Terry Venables being our next manager. He was Englands best manager in nearly 20 years. Got a good club record.

He only had 5 competetive games in charge of England - all at home. He only won 2 of them- against an unlucky Scotland team who missed a pen and against a Dutch team in disarray. They were extremely lucky to scrape past Spain in the QF. Sven was a much, much better England manager- 3 QFs in a row ...and he had to actually get the team to qualify!
Club record is very overrated. 2 trophies in his entire career- the last one was FA cup with Spurs nearly 20 years ago.
Plus, he's slimy.

I cant see why people are against Terry Venables being our next manager. . That TV advert during the last World Cup where he did a spot of singing is the clincher for me.

Your fine critique of his coaching career is merely decorative

If we employ Venables I'll be starting a 'bring back tosh' campaign.

As I said in another thread- he's like like an English version of Tosh. Which I imagine is just about the last thing most Wales fans want.

As I said in another thread- he's like like an English version of Tosh. Which I imagine is just about the last thing most Wales fans want. Exactly this, he's done nothing since 1996, a tournament at home where they rode their luck several times. He couldn't get Australia to the World Cup and they had better players and an easier route than us. I'd love to have a few beers with him, I'm sure it would be a great night out but I wouldn't want him to manage my sandwich box let alone my National side.
