Bulgaria aint all that guys, i think they have lost 5 games in a row. We have to beat them.
Myhill
Ricketts Williams Gabbidon D.Collins
Vaughan
Edwards King Ledley
Bale (free role )
Church
I think the way bale played last night, means i would say with the likes of d.collins / rickets / eardley / gunter, he should never play left back for wales again. hes now a fantastic left winger. for this home game though, id put him even more forward, i think he could have a goal / set up in him.
Lets give andy king his chance also. looks mature and a good lad. Vaughan could tidy up at the back, and look out for martin petrov.

I agree with that, but not much else Darcy Blake and Morison will start I think, and under Flynn it'll be 4-4-2 I guess.

Think Gabbs will withdraw due to injury and I doubt if Bale will play in both matches. Not sure who to have upfront.

Yeah, in the holding role. He's done it for Cardiff and he'll be on home turf.

------------Myhill Gunter-Collins-Williams-Collins Cotterill-Vaughan- Allen/Ledley-Bale ----------Church-Morrison
Not reall sure who to play up front though, on form it might be the above two, but Flynn may think that a former under 21's combination might be better?
Even though James Collins cost us the game in Monty, i think he's better than Gabbidon. We'll also be very lucky to have Bale there for the both games :-( my feeling is he'll play at home, then somehow miss the Away game, although i hope not!
If were not winning, by the alst half hour id definetly look at bringing on King as he's got the ability to score goals late on in the game.
Also, id give Myhill the nod, as Hennessey was flapping a lot on the corners for the Monty game...

No he just fucked up in montengro But why should we drop him because of one poor game? Williams is a Championship player, and Gabbidon has barely played a half-dozen games since returning from injury. Collins is more established than these two and we should play him.

collins needs dropping, we need more competition for places. keep picking people who make mistakes, we will always be in the dolgems of world football

There's no point dropping someone for someone who isn't as good, especially when the first someone (Collins in this case) has shown no evidence of being complacent about his place in the team or taking it for granted.

Good plan. Not unlike banning helmets on motorcyclists on the basis that they'll probably die in a crash anyway. Ribeiro is the man in form- he has a faultless Under 21 record, and knows how to mark- something Ashley Williams (who played well in midfield against Watford this week) does not. There is a decent chance of him starting. The only other (half way sensible) option in midfield would be Blake, who is much weaker physically and has had less game time in that position in the league than Williams- nevertheless, he is plainly more suited to the role than either Vaughan or Ledley.

Totally agree mate,
I like Ribeiro as well, he is solid and unlike some i can mention is desperate to play for the senior team. Probably inexperience will go against him, but have a feeling he has played against similar quality players in France & Italy U21's.

Some players know they are guaranteed starters and dont have any pressure on them to raise their game. Id be sorely tempted to put Danny Collins at CB to make a point to James Collins. Its too big a game to try that unfortunately. Edit: Forgot about Ribeiro, still not sure its the type of game to be handing out first caps in. We simply must win.

Hennessey was not good in Montenegro, bar the save at the death. Im not convinced Hennessey will ever be a first choice prem keeper. Keepers always get better with age though so its obviously too early to write him off yet. But its becoming apparent that his development seems to have stalled somewhat from the youngster who was attracting interest from Arsenal and being talked of highly.

It's a bit of a blow for Wayne that Hahnemann is doing so well for Wolves at present. Hennessey has a long-term contract with Wolves, signed fairly recently, so I assume Mick McCarthy still sees him as his future number 1.

On what evidence is Myhill the better keeper? Have you been attending West Brom reserve matches? Have you been reading reports of West Brom reserve matches and comparing them to those of Wolves reserve games? Thought not. You have no evidence. Ergo, you aren't just foolish, you are a liar. The only stalling aspect in Hennessey's career is his misfortune in finding himself managed by The "Mad Mick" McCarthy. I'd like to think he may lose his job, but the money he has spent in addition to his new found philosophy of brutalising the opposition implies he is unlikely to be relegated and therefore sacked. It will take an intelligent manager to spot his potential in the Premiership- sadly that's like looking for a Jew in Afghanistan. The few that exist have the money to bet on sure things. Are you sure we can't swap you for James Corden? At least we could melt him down for glue.

I was surprised to see that Hahnemann is 38, so he will be binned sooner rather than later. I assume that was a major factor in Hennessey signing a 3 year contract.
