Thought he did well when he came on and nearly scored. Llongyfarchiadau Marley!

Played well in all fairness, looked pretty hungry and eager in attack. Made a few nice runs down the right hand side late in the game.

Apparently Norwich turned down £2 million offer from CCFC yesterday.

Marley Watkins: Bristol City set to sign Norwich and Wales forward for £1m www.bbc.com/sport/football/44503178Norwich City forward Marley Watkins is set to join their Championship rivals Bristol City for £1m. Newly-promoted Premier League side Cardiff City had a bid rejected for the Wales international. Watkins, 27, joined Norwich from Barnsley in the summer of 2017 but started only 12 Championship games for the Canaries last season. He now looks set to be reunited with Bristol City manager Lee Johnson, who he worked with at Oakwell. Johnson signed Watkins for Barnsley from Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 2015, and the two forged a strong working relationship during their time in Yorkshire. Watkins' fine form for the Tykes earned him a move to Norwich, though he struggled to secure a first-team place at Carrow Road. There was a possibility of him joining Cardiff this summer, though he was only likely to feature as a back-up player for the Bluebirds. With his international prospects in mind, Watkins wants regular first-team football and was eager to be reunited with Johnson.

Unlikely to be in a Wales squad any time soon, but I was surprised to see that he's starting for Bristol City tonight!

Embarrassing dive to win the free kick for Ashley Williams' goal.

A look on twitter suggests Watkins had a good game last night. Loads of abuse from Barnsley fans too 😄

Embarrassing dive to win the free kick for Ashley Williams' goal. Not a dive at all, nor has he anything to be embarrassed about his performance. Shirt was tugged and the goal from Ash was solid. I will feel much more confident if I see Ash on the teamsheet in Baku

It was a swan dive. Felt a small tug on the tail of his shirt and belly flopped with both arms in the air.

Good to see Marley getting a second start after a really decent match last week. Really looks in the mood against the bluebirds ;-)

Good finish, the Swans have missed a trick by not signing Watkins!
