Pens a new three year deal with the Swans. Tbh, did not see this coming, but I hope Laudrup gives him a run out - perhaps in the League Cup Tuesday against Crawley away - Gerhard Tremmel I believe has never looked very good when he's had his opportunity to play - so Dai should given a go - and like I said I hope it comes on Tuesday. Failure to have any sort of Football before January and I'm sure he'll be loaned out again - and that's if the case I hope he is. www.thisissouthwales.co.uk/year-deal-keeper-Cornell/story-16935100-detail/story.html

Promising. One of the many things we learnt from the Serbia game is that we need more keepers coming through who are actually playing.

Yeah, hope he plays Tuesday or least gets football before Christmas. If not then a loan deal away from the Swans is surely on the cards with Vorm and Terrible Tremmel [sadly] infront of him.

It was kinda rhetorical, unfortunately. I wish I had no knowledge of that shit, its made people famous simply for being famous and does our culture no favours, imo.

Saw his name on the article for Northampton's FA Cup game against Derby.
He has been capped at U17, U19 and U21 level. Now currently playing for Northampton in League 2, and has made 29 league appearances this season, as well as 46 appearances last season. Northampton are currently 5th in the table, so there's a chance he could be playing at League 1 level next year, one to keep an eye on given our current GK situation??

Interesting situation over at Peterborough: Christy Pym their previous starter in goal has had a big falling out with the manager and as been banished from the first team for the foreseeable future, so Cornell has taken over, starting their previous two and again tonight.
If he establishes himself as the no. 1 going forward and does well, it'll be interesting to see if he earns a call up or if he gets the Maxwell treatment.

Clean sheet against Bournemouth tonight. 2 clean sheets in 3 games in a team that's a relegation candidate isn't a bad start for him.

Starting tonight for Preston vs Swansea. Could he be the answer to our goalkeeping woes?
Probably not. Only 5'11", 32 years old.
