Treat coming this week: chatting with Wales Online's Chris Wathan about his forthcoming book And here's the podcast. www.podcastpeldroed.cymru/podcast-30-chris-wathan/We're really grateful to Chris for his time. Some great tales and I think it's fair to say a lot of what he discusses here and much more in the book is really encouraging for the future.

Our Essential #Euro2016 Playlist is ready to accompany you on your journey to and around France. We had the pleasure of collaborating with Cardiff born music journalist David Owens on the choices. Which have links to football, France, Wales or our emotions at qualifying. There's a mix of genres and some well-known and lesser-known bands. So if you like music hopefully you'll find something that suits your tastes; or even better discover something new. In thr podcast David joins Leon and Russell to talk through the songs and explain their motives behind their choices. www.podcastpeldroed.cymru/podcast-podlediad-31-euro-2016-playlist-david-owens/If you think it's missing a banger (which must be on Spotify) then let us know and maybe it can be added.

A recommendation to all. Load up the playlist before starting the podcast and stop the podcast after each song to play it on Spotify, ala Desert Island Discs. Really enhances the feel of the podcast, even though I reckon it'll be about a 5/6 hour podcast as a result.

"Welsh nationalist sentiment runs far higher amongst the nation’s football fans than it does in the general populace....... The Duke of Cambridge may be welcome at Welsh rugby internationals, sporting a shirt featuring his father’s feathers. But he’d be well-advised to stay away from Welsh football matches. We don’t need an English prince to represent Wales on the world stage. We already have a king". Love it!

This is now our all-time most downloaded podcast. Thanks to everyone who listened and shared. It's been a wonderful journey over the last two years having started after the pre-WC 2014 friendly against The Netherlands and we'd like to think we have played a tiny part in the 'renewed' fan scene: the great bond b/w the fans and squad; the demise of interclub shittiness; the great t-shirts; the friendships; the great memories and trips that comprise #walesaway... It seems ridiculous that recording and sharing conversations we'd be having over a pint anyway, has led to being on S4C, the Guardian with James Richardson, a Mancunian radio station, an Israeli sports radio station...and there's an even more exciting one being lined up this evening (cryptic!). We look forward to tackling the World Cup campaign with the same spirit and gobbiness and hopefully can continue to play a part in the journey that's underway. #TogetherStronger PS any impression we know what we're doing is entirely accidental
