Missing the podcasts after the glut during the Euros. Btw, what names do the contributors post under on here? Glut is definitely the word. A great month of football but needed a break after the podcasts. Our download stats went thru the roof. Over 3500 in June and July alone which is in equal measure humbling and rewarding. In the podcast world, download stats are always considered a 'best guess' estimate of listnership so make of those what you will. We're pleased with them. It's fairly common knowledge that Russell is llannerch (and also behind this id) but I'll leave it to the other mysterymen to reveal themselves as they wish!

Thanks It's odd that we know a lot about the Charles brothers, Medwin, Cliff Jones, Allchurch and Kelsey but little about the man who captained the side and spent longer than anyone else managing the side (10 years), with only Mike England and John Toshack managing more games. Thought it was a nice piece to redress the balance a little

We have contributed an article about our fraught football relationship with Scotland to a special Scotland-themed edition of The Football Pink. It's available to buy for only £3 from their website. Apologies in advance if it causes acute anxiety, bitterness and resentment

We're going to be recording a podcast with Simon 'Shakey' Shakeshaft aka @walesmatchworn about the Kappa kits that Wales wore between 2000 and 2008. He's currently asking for fans' views on the home kits, having previously asked of views on away kits. Here's a Storify of views to date if you're interested. Your views will inform the discussion. There will also be an accompanying blog.

To accompany our current podcast about our Kappa kits in the 2000s we're running a competition. Follow us on Twitter and RT this tweet to your followers and you will be in with a chance to win this player issue shirt. It's brand new with tags and is XL but like all Kappa shirts that's closer to a L. The tale behind these player issue shirts being available on the high street is revealed in the podcast by @walesmatchworn

Well done lads another good listen.
Interesting point made regarding Coleman sticking with the players he knows and letting who ever replaces him with very few other players exposed to international football.

Well done lads another good listen. Interesting point made regarding Coleman sticking with the players he knows and letting who ever replaces him with very few other players exposed to international football. It could potentially be a repeat of Hughes's reign. I'd hope that Coleman would be a little more selfless, but yeah, it's an interesting one.

Speaking of Mark Hughes and Kappa, we're finally getting round to a podcast about the #HughesYears - having done the Yorath Years earlier in the year - so please tweet your memories, thoughts, reflections about his reign to us using the above hashtag or reply to this message.
