Thank heavens for this forum.
Since the demise of Dragon Soccer I never thought we would be as lucky as to have forum for us to air our views upon.
In the build up to the 2002 we played home friendlies against 2 of the favored nations at the Millennium Stadium, Argentina and Germany.
8 years on and we handing out caps to non league players and players released from Wassail.
Why take a match on when we had such a big interest in the play offs the day prior to the match?
At long last the Western Mail are even starting to have a pop at the previously bombproof Toshack.
Our friendly against Sweden saw the non selection of Craig Bellamy take centre stage in one of the poorer performances under John Toshack where yet again we looked beaten from the word go.
Our friendly in Croatia made more headlines for the amount of players missing.
For once Toshack never criticized anyone, I dont recall him saying much about anyone, not even the match itself.
Lets be honest prior to the job he slated everything about Mark Hughes and his time in charge, he slated the younger players for not getting enough match time, the older players for anything under the sun, the Cyprus match away in 2007 saw him criticize the pampered nature of the players.
Surely the moral of the tale is, if you turn up for Mr Charisma you get slated, if you cant make it he will say nothing.
I cannot think of any other nature that has taken such a sharp decline since Graham Taylor replaced Sir Bobby Robson or even the difference between the Terry Yorath era through to Bobby Gould.
This man is either hiding a winning plan that will get us to Euro 2012 or is going to take us down the road of failure and ten remind forever of how he has handed Welsh football a generation of Bale, Ramsey et all.
This has been possibly the worse calendar year since the turn of the century in following Wales.
Two poor friendlies so far, nothing positive in the press or on our poor website, the new chief executive has brought no notable changes to date, there is no sign of a new strip, our captain is more vocal in wanting to play for Cardiff City instead of talking up our chances in the next campaign, Dean Saunders is now looking anything but a potential Welsh Manager, Roy Evans is topping up his pension and looking like he should be travel ling with SAGA,
our next friendly is against Luxembourg on August 11th and has not been announced yet, we are looking out fox them perhaps by using the 60 day rule, crowds are at their lowest since Bobby Gould was in charge and Aaron Ramsey's injury just puts the tin hat on things, all be it our great powers to be had no control over that one, but have failed notify the nation on his progress and recovery.
We all need to start to make our selves known at the Luxembourg match and start bombarding Johnathan Ford at the FAW as well as Abbandonatto.
This farcical situation must stop now.
One plus point was the work rate of Robert Earnshaw in Croatia who ran his socks off, some feat considering the manager doesn't rate him doest like him and treated him poorly. If any player during this decade has deserved his 50th cap surely it has got to be Earnie. 8 years ago he was scoring a winner against Germany now he is a willing runner for a manager who has constantly slated him and has always put his country first.
Toshack out, Streamline the FAW and get the FAW to be more accountable to the Welsh Assembly, this joke is not funny anymore.
