Really looking forward to this game. Big big chance to assert ourselves and put our foot in the door for 2nd place. Travelling down on the Friday day and then staying down returning Saturday. Looking forward to having a good night out in Cardiff too.

Sadly can't make the Bosnia game. I have a pair of tickets in the Ninian stand available at face value

The 112/113 block has virtually sold out for Bosnia, it's just singles here and there left. Block 201/202 in the Grandstand has sold out for Bosnia & there are just 4 tickets left in block 207/201. That's on top of all the Tournament tickets sold. It looks like main part of the Grandstand & Lower Ninian will both sell out entirely this week. this is promising. I didnt expect it after the dodgy performance and negative press following Andorra. The Bale effect kicking in? (see the thread 'the Bale effect')

The Bale effect kicking in? (see the thread 'the Bale effect') I'm not convinced we're seeing the Bale effect yet. This is guesswork based on previous games, but I reckon we've sold around 12,000 before hospitality and away tickets are factored in. At this rate we'll be heading for a crowd of around 20,000 - similar to the attendance for Belgium at the start of the last campaign.

All of the following could and should boost sales now:
- Corporate sales (top tier of Ninian) - they could be very good. - Sales to clubs under the kick back scheme - this should see a lot of extra seats sold. - The Grandstand and Ninian Lower stands selling out (as seems likely by the end of this week). Likely to lead to a further spike in sales from fans who don't want to miss out. - All the fans who've said thegoing buying in advance. - Big marketing drive from the FAW - Squad announcement (especially if Bale and Ramsey are in). - Bale's arrival in Wales.

www.eticketing.co.uk/fawtickets-english/details/event.aspx?itemref=418I understand that 411 to 417 and 511 to 517 have not yet been released for sale. I understand that 121/122 is for the Bosnia supporters. But: 1) Are the red bits (choose your tickets) down to excellent sales? Or have other blocks not yet been released for sale? 2) Is 103/104 to 106/107 down to most of the supporters traditionally getting tickets on the day?

When you combine TTs & Bosnia sales: 2 blocks have sold out - both in Grandstand. 10 blocks have extremely limited numbers of seats left: 6 blocks in Ninian, 3 in Grandstand & 1 in Canton. Many of these are just individual seats. 9 blocks still have plenty available - 6 in Canton & 3 in Family Stand. 7 lower tier blocks have not yet been released for sale: Grandstand 202/203 & 203/205, Canton 107/108 & 108/109, Ninian 111, Family Stand 124/125 & 123/124. Some of these may be reserved for sales via the clubs though.

So it remains very likely that all the available tickets in the Grandstand & the Ninian Lower will be sold out by the end of this week.
The Canton & the Grange/Family have some catching up to do.

The red blocks at the Canton end of the Grandstand & the centre blocks of the Ninian are all Tournament Ticket blocks. These are pretty much sold out. Once the Grandstand & Ninian have sold out, the Canton will start to follow. I personally wouldn't leave it until the day for this match- I think sales could reach tipping point when the squad is announced & the bottom tier could sell out with a good marketing campaign.

Three things people can do: 1. If you've not bought your Bosnia tickets yet, buy them now. Help turn a green block yellow or a yellow block red. 2. Speak to anyone who's told you they are coming to the game & persuade them to buy tickets ASAP. Get them to break the habit of buying tickets on the night. 3. Share the ticket link on Twitter and Facebook: it definitely boosted sales at the start of the week.

I will be buying 12-15 tickets on Monday for my football team. Also, I noticed that there was a radio advertisement on capital today for the Wales game. I've never heard an advert for the football before so was very pleased, nice to see the faw pulling their fingers out with marketing.

200 tickets left in the Grandstand (125 Tournament Tickets & 75 Bosnia tickets). 350 tickets left in the Ninian Lower (220 Tournament Tickets & 130 Bosnia tickets).
Looks like all available tickets in Grandstand & Ninian will be sold out by this time tomorrow.

Anyone know when Coleman is due to announce the squad for the Bosnia and Cyprus games? Can't be long now Squad announcement confirmed for Wednesday, 1st October.

I'd guess it's less than 15k sold so far but hope for 20k+ at the match. Any concrete info on sales anyone?

I'd say you're right that we've sold just under 15k online - the blocks that have sold out look about the same as what we had for Wales v Norway in 2011 - but then the map doesn't show (a) corporate tickets in top tier of Grandstand, (b) sales via clubs, (c) sales to school groups, (d) away fans (who've been allocated the main away section). I originally thought we'd get around 20k but at the current rate of sales think we'll reach that comfortably. FAW should be aiming for a Stadium record for a Wales game, at least 23k.

Ramsey injury bound to have a negative effect on the overall attendance. Squad announcement now likely to be a negative news story (ie. Ramsey not fit), meaning it's less likely to cause a bounce in sales. Hopefully steady sales will continue.
Going back to my original prediction of 20k.

Are you sure that all the seats that are unavailable (either as a Tournament T or as a single ticket for the Bosnia game) have actually been sold? Is it possible that the FAW just haven't made them available for sale yet?
scoop - I second your prediction of 20k. Any more is a bonus, but would be disappointed with 19,999 though!

I've listed the blocks that are yet to go on online sale - there are 7 home blocks in the lower tier which have not been released for online sale - see above. Every block that I've listed as limited is due to the tickets being sold.

The Grandstand and Lower Ninian are now all but SOLD OUT for the Bosnia game. 13 tickets available in the Grandstand (mainly individual seats) & 50 tickets available in the Ninian (individual seats only).
There's still a small block of Tournamant Tickets available in each stand, about 50 left in the Grandstand & 150 left in the Ninian. TTs have continued to sell steadily, so these should all go in the final week of online sales.
Crucially, most of the unsold seats are individual ones, so when the players run out for the anthems, both stands will look FULL.
Now the focus shifts to filling the Canton...

Toshfan, the idea that loads of people buy tickets on the day for the Canton is a myth. I've got pictures of every Wales game at CCS and there are only two games where the Canton was full - Costa Rica (for the Gary Speed tribute) and Scotland in 2012 (when there were a few hundred Scotland fans in that end). Although the Canton has provided a great atmosphere since the Australia game in 2011 onwards, it's been less than half full for most of the Wales games. With the Grandstand and Ninian almost selling out, we've got a huge opportunity now to fill the Canton. The Canton is the lungs and the voice of the Stadium. It would be great to see it packed for the Bosnia game. Block 105/106 in the Canton will be the next to sell out.

Certainly if anyone wants to guarantee being with the singers in the Canton it would be wise to buy in advance.

This is now a great opportunity for the FAW.
Coleman at his squad announcement on Wednesday and the players when they meet up next Sunday/Monday should ALL be talking about wanting to see a big crowd for the opening qualifier.
There's a great line in yesterday's Cardiff City programme: "We're all proud that Cardiff City Stadium is playing a central part in Wales qualifying campaign. Now let's turn that pride into positive vibes by filling the place for every home game."
That's exactly the sort of thing Coleman and the players should be stressing. Let's fill the place.

Certainly if anyone wants to guarantee being with the singers in the Canton it would be wise to buy in advance. While it would be great to get a big walk-up crowd, the media will look at the ADVANCE ticket sales before deciding on the level of pre match coverage. If a lot of tickets are sold, then there will be more coverage outside of the back pages and sports bulletins - just as happened between 2000 & 2005. It's the sort of free publicity tht the WRU get for every Wales game. And good advance sales & more pre match coverage will in turn led to more advance sales - no-one will want to miss out on a good atmosphere.
