With Bellars injured and Simon "the sap" Davies having retired we are looking a bit weak on the right side of midfield. Cotterill is either injured or dropped so who is going to play there? Edwards has played on the right of a 4 for Wolves but it's not really his natural position. I'd prefer Allen - if selected - to play in the middle. Who would you play on the right?

Id go with Edwards.442 with Ched+Church up front. It gives us a solid Premiership standard defence with the midfield and attack from Flynns best U21 team. Some of them are out of form and the build ups frustrating as usual but it still amazes me how consistently good that U21 team of 2 years ago were. Flynn will make them feel like giant-killers and the eternal optimist in me still thinks 4 points is possible!

You're right, it is a problem area. I suspect Edwards will play there. We'll be a bit lopsided, if Bale plays on the left, because Edwards will probably not offer the same balance as Bellamy would. Personally, I like Edwards, but as a central midfielder in the Savage mould, not really as a winger.

There is also McDonald. Edwards would be my preference, although seeing as he is the only one who ever makes the effort to get in the box he may be missed from the centre.
Im hoping Flynn gets the central midfield pushing up if nothing else.

I think Edwards will play there, too. A more drastic option would be to play Ricketts at right-back and push Gunter forward. Can't see that happening though. Long-term I think Adam Matthews might fill the right sided berth for Wales.

Dai Edwards has been effective playing off the front man. I'm not sure he can play right midfield. I'd go with HRK as a bit of a curveball. The Bulgarians won't know much about him

Edwards in a lop sided midfield? So he tucks in a bit and bale has freedom to roam, bit like 4-3-1-2 with the 1 being more left than centre?
