Voted no thanks.
I personally don't want to see an 'event' take place at the Millennium.
But I can imagine the money that it could potentially make is hard to resist for FAW - if ticket sales will reach 50,000+

The playing surface at the Cardiff city and Liberty stadium are excellent. Even when the Millenium pitch was being used for football on a regular basis it was inconsistent at best and broke up at worst. I would like to beat or at least compete against Argentina or any one else and feel that will on a football pitch. They've just had a pitch fitted over the summer like at both the CCS & Liberty. It should be fine now.

F**k it then, let's just build our own ground! Would be ideal if we had a ground a similar size to the Aviva/Hampden tbh haha

I think this friendly will come too soon for a Millennium stadium sell-out, although I do think it should be played there. Anyone who wants us to be successful and stay at the CCS are unrealistic. Well recently we've done well at the CCS. Would be daft to move qualifying games away from there this campaign for sure. Atmosphere was great the two games this month.

The CCS is now our home. Play it there

I'd also like to see friendlies played in Swansea, Llanelli and Wrexham (when The Racecourse is deemed suited for international)

IF we and the FAW want Argentina to bring their stars which will draw the crowds in, then it'll be at the Millenium. You're simply kidding yourself if you think we'll see Messi, Aguero, Mascherano etc. at the CCS on a Tuesday night.
As someone on here has said, big players relish big venues.

People Need to be realistic about the Money side of things too. Brazil and Argentina demand huge fees.
CCS - 32,000 x 20 (Ave ticket Price) = 640,000. Mill - 72,000 x 20 = 1.4 Million.
The FAW will see this as an opportunuty to make some cash, and as Long as it goes back into grassroots (hopefully loads of Clubs/Schools will take up 'kick back' tix) I haven't got a problema with that.

But it probably won't be anywhere near 640k or 1.4m.
If they do kids for £5 / OAPs for £5/10 or similar that's a huge drop.

They may even play it in London? Why? when we have a 72,000 seater Stadium in Wales?

They may agree to an "home" match - in which case it could be played in London, as many of Argentina and Brazil's friendlies are. Game will be organised by a separate events company, rather than the Argentina FA.

Yes, Wembley or the Emirates is a good call and entirely fair on the 'London Welsh'

Yes, Wembley or the Emirates is a good call and entirely fair on the 'London Welsh' tbh I wouldn't mind playing at these grounds but then it defeats the object of playing them to raise the profile of our national team in our own country, especially if it is a mid week game can't see too many regulars travelling let alone extra people.

I'd be very disappointed if we ever played a 'home' fixture at Wembley

Argentina and Brazil do this because they can though. Everybody wants to play them

At the moment a 1 off at millennium it will / should bring more support espeascilly when we beat belgium, it will bring inalot more younger supporters and give them an opportunity to see they hereo bale and co and this can only help the profile of wales and future up coming supporters. Yes alot "prawn cocktail" types there but its a big money generator with likes of messi and co playing in wales. As for qulifiers stay at ccs as it shown the atmosphere is better and 20,000 odd support looks shit in millennium with empty seat every where . So in short, yes as a 1 off

I don't want to return to the MS but as it's a one off against one of the best footballing nations then it's to be expected they want to go to the biggest stadium available. The kick back scheme will no doubt be utilised massively as it was when we played that lot next door so it will only benefit local grass roots football.

I'd be very disappointed if we ever played a 'home' fixture at Wembley It wouldn't be a home game though. When we played Brazil a few years ago in Tottenham we were the away team, I've got the ticket somewhere and it definitely said 'Brazil v Wales'

Early days. I wonder if they have the "lights on wheels" setup that they have at the Liberty to promote grass growth. If not, why not?

Was in a box after a game around 8 years ago and they brought them on after the players had warmed down. With regards to this friendly, whilst I'm normally banging on about how we need more and I want to see us more often, I'm gonna be entirely selfish and hope that it doesn't go ahead (in March anyway) as I'm using the Israel trip as an excuse for an extension to Jordan, Romania and Moldova - budget airlines are a wonderful thing!
