Agreed. How old is Lewis Price now? I can't believe he has been released. Always played well for us 31 in July

He does seem unlucky but obviously Coleman is being loyal to those who have been with him a while.
Fon Williams has travelled everywhere without getting a game, often being dropped by his club on his return, Ward is seen as the long term successor to Hennessey.
This campaign has been built on togetherness and team spirit so I can see why Coleman is doing this although I do agree Maxwell is unlucky.
Should Maxwell start next season well and Fon Willams be playing at a lower level or not at all then his time will surely come

Let's get it in proportion - Maxwell isn't some amazing keeper that means it's a real shock that he's not involved. He's a keeper at a mid-table Division 1 club in a squad of Premiershsip & Championship players.
But when you compare him to the other challengers for 2nd or 3rd spot - he's clearly ahead of them.

If Hennessey gets injured we're buggered. Maxwell should easily be our second choice keeper.

Its obvious that Maxwell's not in Chris Coleman's circle of trust.
He is by far the best back-up keeper along with Lewis Price to Wayne Hennessey.
Instead we have a keeper without a club in Fon Willams & a very inexperienced Ward who I believe is also going to be out of contract this summer at Liverpool.
Another goalkeeper may come into contention soon is Macclesfield Town's Rhys Taylor with league teams interested in signing him.

Another funny selection. Am I right in saying Danny Ward has only played 5 games for Morecambe all season? According to wikipedia he's played a mere 6 games of senior football in his whole career! Really hope he kicks on with his development but he should be nowhere near an international squad just yet.

I admire OFW for his loyalty but he will struggle unfortunately to find a club or play regularly above L2 next season. To be honest cannot see Simon Church scoring anything like the number of goals as Tom Bradshaw next season if both in L1.Bradshaw has been only welshman in whole english league to get into double figures.Bale aside there is a severe lack of goals in the squad there and Coleman is not helping things with omitting Bradshaw.

Only argument I can see for Fon Williams and to a lesser extent Church getting in the squad is that they've got the experience over the likes of Maxwell and Bradshaw of being involved in the set up. Could be seen as a risk to bring in somebody half way through a qualification campaign

Could be seen as a risk to bring in somebody half way through a qualification campaign I agree, experience was the only possible reason I could think of. While I agree that it is important to maintain a small pool of players for togetherness, this selection is strange at best - we've chosen an uncapped 28 year old over who's just been relegated to the conference over an uncapped 24 year old who's just finished mid-table in League 1. I'm aware that Maxwell is no world beater either, but is OFW ever going to make it now? I feel for OFW though, he's probably sat on the bench about 15 times now. Victim of lack of friendlies I guess.

I'd like to see him play championship before I make a judgement on him being called up. I would like to think that the L1/L2 call ups will soon be a thing of the past. Some players bang in goals for fun at L1 and then not make the jump up to championship level which these days contains a lot of international/ex international players. I hope he does make the grade but we'll have to wait and see.

In reality shows how ridiculous scenario that Chris not in squad for last 12 months.Loyalty is important but not against strength of squad. Before Inverness OFW was released by relegated to Conference Tranmere.

I hope Chris is allowed to be the first choice at Preston because he has the ability. With good performances between the posts in the Championship he must then be looked on a fresh for the Wales squad.

I think he is meant to be first choice because Lindergaard has gone back to Man Utd and Kirkland has left.

Good news on Lindergaard going back. Had the same worry too. At 25 hopefully his best years are ahead of him...

When Swansea won promotion to the PL the club had no senior goalkeeper, three were signed and the third was Vorm.

Chris Maxwell kept a clean sheet on his debut for Preston. www.bbc.com/sport/football/37091156He should challenge OFW for the 3rd keeper spot over the next year. It might help if he can learn to play guitar like Jimmy Hendrix. OFW has the entertainment sown up at present for the squad campfire sing songs.

I don't care how many clean sheets he has kept, the question is:
Can he spray 60 yard passes to feet with carefree abandon?

Regular starter for PNE ahead of Lindegaard now. 24th game of the season tonight. Does he deserve a go as no.3 now?

Without a shadow of a doubt, OFW been a great servant but can't keep picking him because he's good on the guitar in the team hotel.....

Despite conceding 2 against Cardiff tonight he didn't do much wrong.
Looks a very good footballer, good distribution and a shot stopper.
Build a little small though to be a real top class keeper?
Would have him as 3rd choice in the next squad

Would have him as 3rd choice in the next squad Adam Davies leads the clean sheets for Welsh keepers in the Championship with 10 (35%) Danny Ward with 7 (26%) Chris Maxwell with 6 (30%) Wayne Hennessey has 1 in the PL (7%) Fon Williams has 2 (9%) In other Welsh goalkeeper news, Lewis Price has 1 (11%) and Karl Darlow has 7 (39%)
