Ledley's not a real winger, as such, more a left-sided midfielder. He doesn't need that much pace to play effectively in that role.

I reckon Hartson's talking rubbish here. Ledley reminds me a bit of someone like, say, Danny Murphy - no speed merchant, but has had a very decent top level career in midfield. If Hartson does have a point (and I don't think he really does) then maybe Joe would be better off going to Roma?! The slower pace of Italian football could suit him more than people think..

He's left footed, but he didnt seem to play much on the left for Cardiff last season - he was in the centre whenever I saw them.
If Ledley has a future in the top flight, I'd say it's as a central midfielder. Perhaps, if we're lucky, in the Lampard mould, or perhaps as a defensive midfielder. Will be interesting to see where whoever buys him plays him next season.
