Three low capacity stadia - just our luck. Two in the South two - not great, but could be worse.

WHEN we make it out of the group stage, one of these will be our likely fixtures -
Match 3: Winner B v Third-place A/C/D (1700, June 25, Paris) Match 8: Runner-up B v Runner-up F (2000, June 27, Nice) Match 2: Winner D v Third-place B/E/F (2000, June 25, Lens) Match 5: Winner C v Third-place A/B/F (1700, June 26, Lille)
EDIT: Just had another look at the possible outcomes in the qualifying stages:
- If we come third in our group, our next game would be in the North (Lens or Lille) – with the likely opponents of Spain or Germany. - If we are runners-up in our group, we will have to travel from Toulouse to Nice and play the runners-up in F – likely to be Iceland or Austria (maybe Portugal) - If we top our group, we will play in Paris. Likely opponents are too many to list.

How did France get the Euros with such small Stadiums? All three only hold about 30000!!! As much as I hate admit it, its amazing how England haven't had /won't have a major tournament for at least 30+ years. They have loads of modern 40-50000+ capacity stadiums.

I'm really disappointed we play England in a 38k stadium.
Poland vs Germany on the other hand is in the Stade de France.
Luck of the draw I know, but takes the mick.

I'm really disappointed we play England in a 38k stadium. Why? Unless it is to do with reduced likelihood of getting a ticket, I would have thought that it would have been better for us to play them in a similar sort of stadium to the Cardiff City Stadium?

Yes, but we would have had 30,000 of the seats in Cardiff!

But we know that tournaments are awarded on criteria unrelated to stadia, infrastructure, etc. The FA doesn't bribe well enough

A number of issues with playing them in lens: - many fans without tickets milling round outside with nothing to do but drink, whilst we will only resort to more drink/skateboarding/rugby tackling street furniture, them lot will drink more and then get bored and want to fight; -bigger ground wojld have ment more fans in the ground, -lens does have 1 advantage, not many hotels so alot of us may have to leavevthe city after the game.

'England haven't had/won't have a tournament for at least 30+ years' as the last one was 1996 and it will be 2026 before they get their next chance.

Yes, it's 100% to do with the reduced likelihood of getting a ticket.

Capacity in Lens for the Euros is a bit lower too - 35k. It will be interesting to see where the 20k "neutral" tickets end up. England fans are pretty experienced at hoovering up extra tickets at major tournaments. We could be significantly outnumbered in the stadium.

The draw for the stadia was not the best. However, if we get out of the group, which is quite possible, we will probably be going to bigger stadia. Lyon and Lille are most likely, which have capacities of over 50,000, although there is a chance of ending up back in Lens. If we progress to the QF stage, we are guaranteed to be playing in one of the bigger stadia. That's where the eyes of Europe will be upon us. I will take a good draw over glamour ties in the group any day.

If we qualify for the next stage, our last 16 match won't be in Lyon. It will be Lens, Lille, Toulouse or Paris.

The BBC article www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34809687 suggested that the last 16 matches for 3rd place teams from group B would be in either Lyon, Lille or Lens. Unless I am misreading it, I did just look through quickly.
