I need to book a train from Brussels to St Quentin for June 15th. There are currently a few trains up for that day available to buy but will there be more if I wait until March 15? Confused!

I must admit, they way they sell their tickets (and the sncf website generally) confuses the hell out of me! I got a mate to buy our tickets yesterday but the prices he secured seemed no better than what was available a couple of weeks back. I wasn't sure if there were more and cheaper tickets coming on once the '3 months in advance' kicks in or if prices will just go up from here. In the end we booked, but didn't get especially good fares (Lille -Paris £38, and Paris - Lyon £48)

Cheers - this is what I suspected. So we would have been better off holding out for a few days? Ah well - whatever happens this whole little adventure is going to end up costing a fortune!
