We could have Just like to put into perspective England have vastly more resourced ticketing department and are the richest FA in world football and they're are only two FAs out of 24 who have done 1 ticket per member. We are learning all the time example had we had beaten Russia and qualified for portgual it would have been free for all as we didnt have membership scheme we do know and we are improving all the time and now we have membership scheme and comms between fans and FA which we didnt have then

Your right of course. I'll never forget the free for all that was Old Trafford - not that it was quite a free for all with the FAW helping themselves to 50 tickets each. I'm as bitter about it now as I was at the time, to be honest I wish I could leave it go.
To be fair to the department they're still learning and to be honest with this being the first and most accessible tournament its probably the only one we'll be hugely oversubscribed for. Even then it will probably only be for the group games.

There is no perfect way of selling tickets. The optimum way of doing this would be to consult with fans the ideal criteria for obtaining tickets and then publishing the agreed criteria and where everyone stands against that criteria.

Won't people just choose whatever system suits them? Always better to agree the system in advance. The current system has been in place for 6 years and for me works fine. It's just the execution that has been inconsistent

Yes that would be best way but showing ranking of fans would mean more expensive database with live link so everyone could see and still wouldnt tell you for sure your chance of success as why not even England tell there fans that Also everyone thinks allocations are fixed and so are categories this isnt the case other than there is a minimum allocation of 16 percent but the makeup of that allocation in regards categories and total amount can be changed that why all fas say makeup of allocation will not be advised until after closing date Example if Slovakia or Russia dont sell theyre full allocation UEFA can adjust stadium plan moving general sale tickets so transferring some of theyre allocations to us at our end of ground if we are oversubscribed in order UEFA to sell all theyre tickets remember even people who have got tickets in early geneeral sale those tickets have not be allocated a seat yet or issued they will do that once UEFA know score regarding FAs sales

and with having both single tickets and FYT working out is almost impossible thats why england havent done FYT so one allocation in each cat of tickets in our case theyre will be two allocations in CAT3 and CAt 1
So they have tried to give england fans best chance of knowing chance of success but again without categories split still virtual impossible

Does anyone know of the advantages of applying for a Follow-Your-Team ticket vs buying all the matches individally?
With individual matches you can be bumped up (or down) price categories, increasing hte chances of a successful application. I'm worried that with a FYT ticket if they are oversubscribed I may get nothing.
Umless FYT tickets are processed first??

Can they be bumped up on an individual match basis? As they are only available in Cat 3 or 1 there's a huge difference in price if you get bumped to Cat 1 for every match.
I've gone for individual tickets for each game in Cat 3 to hopefully avoid this problem but we will see...
