Sorry if this topic has already been covered but am I right in thinking that my friends and I have to apply for tickets separately?

Can I request a seat next to my friends?
Every applicant receives an individual Group ID in a confirmation email after they have submitted their application. It is also displayed in a summary after you have submitted your order. You can share this number with your friends who also apply for tickets so that they can request to be seated close to you.
In order to be seated close to a specific person please enter their Group ID in ‘Your Details’ section of your ticket application by clicking on ‘I have got my friend’s Group ID’ button.
If you are a group and you wish to be seated together, please use the same Group ID for all orders. Only orders in the same price category can be grouped together.
Please note that successful applicants who have entered the same Group ID will be seated together only if the availability of seats allows such seating.

Does anybody know if say I order tickets for the group stage and Ro16 and my mate only does it for 1 group game and we put the group ID in the same, is that ok or will it void the application?
