I don't think Huws is staying there. Or have you read or heard something?

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36374180Don't like the look of this. Smells like he is being brought in as the main backup for Mignolet. Hopefully Ward can go out on loan next season. I really want to see him push on, he looks good enough not to spend his formative years rotting away in the stiffs.

Having researched their respective ages because it seems that Karius has played a lot more games than Ward for a similar age, they are not just of a simialr age, but an identical one: both were born on 22 June 1993 according to Wiki

I just saw the posts above about Ward going on loan to Huddersfield, this signing makes it look like this will happen.

We shouldn't be worried about Danny's age because Joe Hart was on loan at Birmingham when he was 23.

Mignolet will be gone. Liverpool already announced that they're giving the new guy the #1 jersey. I can't see Mignolet just accepting it.
Danny Ward might get lucky. Lets wait and see on this one

Klopp can't have much faith in Ward if has just signed a 39 year old Manninger as 3rd choice keeper!

Agree completely that game time is far more important for him at the moment.

Good to see Danny Ward playing regularly with Huddersfield who are top of the Championship, seems to be getting alot of compliments on twitter but I've not seen anything of him this season. If we qualify I reckon he will be starting in Russia. As he did in France.

He joined up with the squad. Why the pull out? Injury?

He joined up with the squad. Why the pull out? Injury? Hmm, interesting. Seems as though Maxwell isn't even 4th choice (or is he injured?). Adam Davies wasn't even on my radar. No mention of an injury to Ward. And Crofts called up to replace Jazz.

Will give Ward the benefit of the doubt but its a concern if he dropped out of the squad for no good reason this early in his career. An injury to Hennessey in Vienna and he's earning his next cap.

He joined up with the squad. Why the pull out? Injury? I'm a bit more comforted that he joined up before pulling out (if that is actually the case!). Would suggest that whatever the issue was the Wales team doctors would be happy with it.

I met him in France. He's committed, no worries there.

It would be worrying if he's pulled out because he was expecting to start, seeing as Hennessey hasn't been playing lately and Ward has.

One thing we know is that Coleman is very loyal to his core group of players. The only way Hennessey is getting dropped at this stage is if he is injured. This may change if Hennessey hasn't played going into the Serbia away game but as it stands Ward had no chance of being No.1.

Which reminds me, he pulled off some great saves at QPR last Saturday to ensure Huddersfield won 2-1.

He's always been reliable when I've seen him play and capable of some spectacular saves, especially during his time at Aberdeen.
In fact, the least solid I've seen him was the Slovakia match but we can put that down to nerves. Understandable, we were all feeling the same way Danny boy!
