Anybody else feel that the demand for tickets won't be as great as many are stating and that an amount of hysteria has crept into the proceedure.
We all know there are various types of football fans.
The ones who go to every or nearly every away game. Down the years experience tells me there are not that many. I personally would put the travel at any costs / be there every away at less than 100.
Internet warriors who are definately going then amazingly, more often than not, "something comes up" which prevents them from going.
Fans who are definately going after 10 pints but realise the next morning it was the beer talking.
Fans who are definately going until they realise the hastle / expense.
Don't get me wrong I would love to see a full house at every Wales game with a large Welsh football contingent (not people being in the right place at the right time or knowing the right people having a jolly)
Suppose we will find out soon enough.

Am I a bit naive, but I only just discovered today that UEFA have limited the round of 16 (R16) allocation to a maximum of 3000 per FA? This is the thread about this on the English fan's forum. Assuming that about 1000 of the loyal following will apply for 2 tickets and at least another 1000 apply for one - there goes my chances of a R16 ticket ;-(

This should be raised with corky.

In 2012, when there were 16 teams, the quota was 6k for group stage, 5k for knock-out stages up to semi-final and 9k for the final ( www.uefa.org/mediaservices/mediareleases/newsid=1731929.html ) It does seem to make sense, that as there are now 24 teams, UEFA can no longer justify 5k tickets per FA, as many of the smaller national FA have not even sold their group-stage allocation...

"A total of 32% of the overall stadia capacity have been reserved for the supporters of the 16 participating teams. Each team will receive 16% of the overall net stadium capacity, or a minimum of 6'000 tickets" Pitty they've changed that rule as our England game is 800 short of 6000. They should be looking at all these games on a case by case basis really.
