Just saw this pool on Wales on-line and there are 92% of us thinking that we will make it at least to the quarter Finals. Me included. |

I think everybody would be delighted if we made it to the Quarter Finals, but just getting out the group would be great.

As optimistic as i want to be still think getting out of group is major achievement, yes only 8 eliminated but this is complete unknown terrority. Can bale stay fit for 3 games in 10 days? Big call.

Its been a few months ... and many hours on the portal getting tickets ... But from today's poll on WalesonLine, it seems its still a good 1/3 of us only think we can make the knock-out R16. I still hope we can at least make 1/4 Final - maybe ... whisper it gently ... a little further ... ![]()  |

I actually think our best chances of making the Quarters is to finish runners up!
Would rather player Austria or Hungary or Iceland than Winning the group & playing someone like Ukraine, Croatia or the Swiss!

Just note that Winner of group B has a 7/15 chance to face 3rd from A or D, but only a 1/15 chance in facing 3rd in group C - so not likely to meet Ukraine or Poland or Northern Ireland. If we end up 3rd ourselves, we have a 9/10 chance of meeting Winner C (Germany/Poland) and only 1/10 chance in meeting Spain/Czech/Turkey/Croatia - a very hot group! I have a distinct feeling that if we end up second, the runner up in group F will be Portugal (not Austria) and I really fancy us against Portugal! Shame the Quarter Final then will be a huge showdown v France at Stade de France ;-) |
