Rooms still available in YOUTH HOSTELS in PARIS

Very cheap rooms still available for games in last-16, quarter-finals semis and even the Final.
Many of us now have confirmed conditional tickets all the way to the Finals!
The trick is booking super-cheap accommodation at 3 different locations, while only standing to loose a maximum of €5 per double! I have just checked all the dates and youth hostels, below. Rooms available in all except Lyon for semi-final.

Youth Hostel accommodation is usually hosted in extremely modern buildings and many of them are very central. They cost between €22 to €28 pppn. All include simple buffet breakfast. All of these hostels still have doubles (usually one bunk-bed) or triple bed rooms throughout June. Only exception is Lyon for semis...

You can be of any age. There is always free Wi-Fi and a free fully equipped and stocked kitchen, you may use. You will always find left over pasta, oils, spices and coffee, left by other users. Free luggage storage room – night concierge –24/24h reception – washing machines – dryer – outdoor terrace – tourist brochures – hairdryer etc.

If you follow the links, below, the deposit on the room is just 8% of the total fee. If you need to cancel, you may do this up to 24 hours prior to the arrival date at no additional cost. This must be before 6pm the day before arrival. If you just don’t show up, or cancel after 6pm the day before arrival, they will charge you the full first day’s rate.

some great info there, I have rooms booked in each of the 3 options for round of last 16, it's worth mentioning finishing 3rd means we could play in either Lens(Saturday) or Lille(Sunday) the outcome of this is dependant on if we are one of the better 3rd placed teams or not.

What I have done is booked a room in Lille for Saturday and Sunday, if we end up in Lens its only a 20 minute train ride away.

That is very solid advice about ending in 3rd place.
The reason I didn't bother mentioning a game in Lens v. Winner of group D (Spain?) is that there is only a 10% possibility of this happening (Basically, only if the best 4 teams in 3rd place are from groups ABCD).
There are 9 other possibilities that lead to Lille and a game v. Winner of group C (Germany/Poland).

I certainly hope we will end higher than 3rd. But if we do end 3rd, I hope to God it will be that 1 in 10 chance against Spain! Will love to see the headlines on 26 June: "The Red Dragons crush the Spanish matadors"...

Just read this thread on the English fans forum and a lad living in Paris for 10 years saying districts (arrondissements) 18,19,20 are the roughest in Paris ...

Sadly, all three International Youth Hostels on www.hihostels.com are exactly there...

If this is an issue for you and you dont mind paying a 50% advance on beds in Paris there are three additional Youth Hostels that are part of BVJ. All three Paris hostels have beds in 4-bed dorms for €30 and doubles for €70 and all three are extremely central ...

No mate. Just been using them for the last 20 years and think that they are a great way to meet people, as well as to be assured of a decent standard of accommodation. I also like the ability to use a very well equipped kitchen...

Remember guys, there are still a fair few beds in 2/3/4 bed-rooms (some of these actually in single beds - not bunks).
Also, Hosteling International membership in France is only 11€ (its £15 in UK!) so don't buy it in advance on the website.

Finally, remember that these are youth hostels ... not 4* hotels ... You need to supply your own:
- Towels
- Toiletries
- Earplugs and eye mask (optional - but recommended)

GUYS,
If there is anyone out there that still has doubts about us going through to the second round ... There is really little I can suggest other than counselling sessions...

THERE ARE STILL 22 BEDS AVAILABLE in 4-bed dorms in PARIS on 24/25/26 June for €27 pppn
There are only 4 double rooms available €64 - but there are another 6 hostels to choose from...

If you feel that we might end up 3rd in the group = LILLE HOSTEL HAS 11 beds in 3Xsingle bed dorms and 55 beds available in 4-bed dorms, for same dates.

All you need to lay out is a 8% deposit [about €2 per night] - not too much to guarentte comfortable and clean digs and to watch a dream come true!

For next round, Paris, Nice and Lille hostels all have plenty of beds. Paris is a bit rubbish, but Nice and Lille are lovely hostels, well located, with great 2 and 3-bed rooms and decent breakfast. 24 euro per night. PM me, if you can't manage to click on the links in the first post!
